  1. Has anyone tried this code and do you know if it's in addition to the already 20% offered thru our Cruise Manager?

I got the couples thermal suite for 7 day cruise for about 186 total. Definitely more than 15 or 20% !

  2. In order to access the T pool you will need to either have a spa cabin or purchase a thermal suite pass. I purchased a couples pass for an 7 day cruise that had starting price of about $220?After the labor day 15% code was applied the price was about $186. So they also discount if you pre-purchase. The price for one person is about 120-130 after discounts. You can also try for a day pass once on board but the passes are capacity controlled and they may sell out.

  3. Going to sound dumb here... Do they just randomly call for upgrade opportunities? Do you have to originally book a certain class or fare in order to be eligible?

For example, we try to mostly sail balconies, so would those not be eligible? We are in an interior in Feb., so would that make a difference?

Thanks and congrats on the upgrade![/quote

Thank you! This was the first time we got a phone call and only 3 days prior to cruise. We have booked ocean view, balcony, extended balcony and interior over about 15 cruises. I had seen on here to watch for a call from Florida, which it was. They also emailed me once about 2 months prior to a cruise to upgrade from inside to ocean view but in that class of ship the ocean view cabins are on the very lowest decks...we prefer a little higher even if inside.

  4. That's great. Curious, did the Post Office return it to UPS for them to deliver, or did they just deliver it?

Good luck with the other one!

It was at the UPS store but now I am wondering if that package was ever misplaced at all. They gave me one door notice but there were always 2 orders, 2 routing numbers...and the confirmation email for that package came a day later than the one that was lost.

  5. I called UPS to start a claim last Saturday, and they said to call Verizon as well while they start an investigation. I called Verizon on Sunday October 23 (3 days ago) and started the tickets with them. UPS called today to let me know about the one available package and that the other was not yet located. After I picked up the one package I got a call from Verizon confirming that only one had been there and Verizon is now going to reissue my missing gift card! I was very happy with the phone customer service people for both UPS and Verizon, their prompt follow ups and how they were so very helpful. Verizon said it could take up to 5 days to hear back and it was only 3 days. :)

  6. I would be sure to do everything in writing and keep good records--even if you present the claim in person, keep copies. I hope you placed the gift card order with a credit card so that your next step can be to dispute the charge on your credit card if you cannot get Verizon or UPS to resolve the issue.
Yes it was by credit card. Thank you! That is a good idea.
  7. Verizon should deal with UPS or USPS....whomever. It was lost. You didn't get it. No fault of your own. Verizon should mail a new card. Over the years since I've been buying these cards from AARP and Verizon, I've had delivery issues twice. Once there was a fulfillment backup. I eventually got the cards 3 weeks later. The other was back in July. Never received a card ordered in May. Called Verizon and within a week they sent a new one. Done.

Thank you! I just called Verizon and got the tickets going.

  8. Because no-one was home to sign for them our cards were sent to local UPS store. When I went to pick them up they had been signed in but could not be found...apparently the USPS accidently picked them up from the counter with the daily mail pick up. grr. Now I am told to wait to see if they come back around. I think I will purchase the smaller denominations that just come in the mail from now on.

  9. We had 3 couples on Miracle balconies last year to Alaska. One couple had the premium (behind elevator) and they loved it, said no problem with elevator noise. Another couple had the bowling alley balcony and liked it. We had an aft balcony and it was great. We were all 2 levels below lido as we don't want to hear the chairs scraping above us.
