  1. Hello,

I'll be going to Rangiroa for one day on the Oceania Marina form 8 am to 4 pm. I have booked a tour with Leon with Pa'ati Excursions. Has anyone been on this tour? I'm concerned because the return time is 4pm and that is the departure time for the ship. Wondering if they care about the time and guarentee to get you back to the ship on time. I hate cancel but I'm not going to mis boarding in time. Has anyone been on this tour?

    thanks

    Hailee,

    How did you bookthis excursion??

  2. Hi All,

I just re-read my initial post and realized my post was missing info.

Just to clarify, we are sailing on Ocean Princess 10 day South Pacific - Cook Islands - 02/09/14 - 02/19/14 itinerary.

Our flight arrives at 6am on 02/09/14 and would like to check in ASAP.

What have some of you veteran cruisers who have done this itinerary done?

We were planning on just going to port and hanging out till we can check in but 5hrs waiting at port could really be unpleasant.

All suggestions and advice is greatly appreciated!!

  3. Hi all,

My wife and I are landing in Papeete at 6;10am and were wondering if anybody knows what time the cruise port opens for check in? On previous cruises, we would arrive at cruise ports by 11am and were able to check in. We were hoping it would be the same thing in Tahiti.

Any advice from return cruisers would be greatly appreciated.:)

  4. Hello all!!

Just wanted to let everyone know what my experience was at Pan-Am pier before boarding the Serenade 4/30/11.

CARRY ON IS A NO GO

    1) Initial x-ray of carry on bag before going to check-in desk.

    2) Attempted to purchase bottles at Duty-free(after I checked-in) and was told that my purchases will go directly to the ship and be given back on the last day

    3) another x-ray of carry on before boarding the ship.

    CHECKED BAGGAGE IS A GO

Our group of 4 (2couples) were successful with 2-2L Platypus bags(exactly like rum runners just different name)

Hope this info helps you all

BTW - I was also successful using the platypus bag when bringing alcohol back onto the ship from ports.

I simply put it in my Camelback bladder compartment.

Hennessy Pure White never tasted so good:D

  5. I dont know what port you are going out of, but if you are going on the Victory you can just fill your rumrunners across the street at a restaurant called Aloha, and then just walk across the street to check your luggage just buy a drink so you can use a table, buy your booze and wine down at CVS. That is what we did and we got 4 RR through and 8 bottles of wine, we all brought 1 bottle on when we first boarded then 1 bottle after we went sight seeing. Simple as that!

Where is CVS located in OSJ? We will be staying at Condado Villas at Caribe Hilton pre-cruise, any supermarkets or CVS close by to purchase bottles from?

    Thanks in advance!!
