  1. I too just got off of the Breeze. I realized there were a lot of kids on board, but did not realize it was 1000 until Leigh told the number during one of the shows. I never really ran into any children or teens that were being disrespectful, but I DID encounter several grown adults that were never taught any manners what so ever!

There was a group of about 6 adults (they had a lot of children too) that were very LOUD and cussing during the entire Overcomer movie. This same group rushed the elevators any time the doors opened.  Other adults have never learned to let people OFF the elevator before you try to get on. We had a balcony room and both sides of us slammed doors all dang week.  And these were adults! Children were not the problem, but it was a constant slam the balcony door, slam, slam slam.  At one point during sail away from St Thomas, it was slammed 57 times between the two rooms.

I have been on several Carnival cruises but I do not know if I will go on another cruise period.  This behavior is not a Carnival problem, it is a humanity problem.  Too many folks think of only themselves and it is just safer for me to stay home lol.

  2. We love Carnival. Granted we have only cruised Carnival but the reason we have not tried other lines is because we DON'T want to be on with the nearly dead. I am on vacation and I don't mind watching people party, heck I might want to join them. If I wanted to be on a quite, kid-less party free vacation I would do a land vacation. I have never seen anything on any of my cruises that made me question the Carnival crowd. As a matter of fact, the only misbehaving I have ever seen was from a elderly, well dressed, sober man screaming at the crew because it was taking too long to get off the ship at port. Go figure.

  3. Ok, I have to add a little funny to this. On our very first cruise the bar staff always called my husband Mr. Robert. He drinks a lot more than I do and I mostly stick to Coke with my bubbles card. By day 2 they were calling me Mrs. Robert! They had no idea what my name was because they rarely saw my card!

    We still laugh about that!

  4. I am trying to decide between these two ships for a cruise in March. The Breeze is a little bit more expensive but the ports are relatively the same. The only difference is the Breeze goes out of Miami and the Conquest is out of Ft. Lauderdale.

Because we will have to fly into Ft. Lauderdale either ship we choose, I am wondering if the hassle from FL to the Miami port is worth it.

Anyone have any opinions on that?

BTW, we have cruised the Ecstasy and twice on the Legend if that gives you an idea on what we have been on in the past. Of course we have not experienced the new 2.0 such as the burger joint etc. yet.

  5. Thanks for all of the replies. I will be leaving it at home and hope that the hot tubs do the job. I do have Salon Pas too so hopefully that will take care of it.

If not, I might just try the cheers program :D

  6. Since I cant search, does anyone know if a heating pad will be allowed? I use one nightly for back pain and would love to be able to on the cruise, but I also don't want to break the rules or get it confiscated.

    Thanks

  7. My husband laughs at me because I ask for a printout every morning, but this kind of stuff is the reason why. I don't expect someone to steal from me, but mistakes do happen.

Every receipt we get, I keep and compare. I still have receipts from our first cruise. On that cruise we were charged for a coke out of the room fridge that we did not drink. Got that reversed, but it did make me wonder where it went??

  8. Our cruise in March is the exact same cruise we took in November 2012. Same boat, same ports. I have every intention of taking only what I KNOW I will wear. No formal clothes AT ALL! While I "kinda" like eating in the main dining room, I do not like knowing that at a certain time I have to "get ready". So, buffet for me!

Also, the shows, I could care less other than comedy. That is a must for me! At the ports, we are going to explore around the port area or take in beach days. No excursions for us!

I hope to be able to relax, do what I want, when I want and not need a break from my vacation!

  9. I don't think it is just the cruise industry or travel, I work in healthcare and since I started, we have less people, which in turn means that those of us that are left are doing more work.

Companies in general cannot continue to keep the doors open if they don't make changes to what they "pay out" to employees and benefits.

And just like me, if you don't like it, you can always look for something else.

  10. We did Mr. Sanchos in November 2012. We did the AI and loved it so much we are going again in March.

As for as being safe taxi ride......we were ummmm......drunk on our way back to the ship and we were fine. Neither one of us remember much of that ride so I think I can say that if anyone was going to be taken advantage of it would have been us!

I am pretty sure that the folks at Mr. Sanchos let the driver know which ship we were on, otherwise we might have ended up on the wrong one!

  11. We have stayed at the Chase Suites in Rocky Point. Free breakfast and right next door to the bahama breeze restaurant for dinner.

For some reason it is not available in March this year so we are staying at the Hampton, same area. Both offer the cruise package which is transporation from the airport to the hotel and then to the cruise port. Also from cruise port to the air port on return.

  12. We are cruising in March and doing the exact same stops that we did on our last cruise. In Belize last time we did the Jungle range rover tour and cave tour. This time, that will not be an option because of major back issues that I am dealing with.

With that and the fact that it is a tender port, I am thinking of staying on the boat. Is there anything that I will truly be missing if I do?

  13. We are cruising in March and this will be our first inside room. The first time we had an ocean view, and the last time we had an aft balcony. I have to admit that the aft was nice, but we honestly just did not use it enough to justify the cost.

For those of you that have done all of the above, how were with the inside room?
