When American changed our flight to LAX the day of our cruise we decided to change it and arrive the night before.  Without consulting here first, we decided to go on to Long Beach that night, 3/11/22 by Uber. We are staying at the Long Beach Hilton who told us they have a free shuttle to the port.  This is our first time out of this port so no idea if this will prove to be the right decision.

Flying into LAX and taking an Uber to the port.  Can anyone tell me the name and location of a store on the way we can ask the Uber driver to stop at so we can buy soda to bring on board?

Although I have been there several times I can’t remember how long the pier is in Cozumel. My mom, who has COPD, will be cruising in September and we were planning on going to Nachi Cocom.  She is concerned about the distance from the ship to the taxi line all the way through the port.  Does the Cozumel pier have a tram and/or pedicabs?  Any steps we can cut out the better.

I posted the information below in response to a thread started on March 8th. They were also asking about the Danube cruise but I believe they were traveling in 2017.

We are going on a Gate 1 Tulips and Windmills cruise a month from today, April 9, 2017 so I have looked around for information as well and only found a couple of posts about Gate 1. Here is one started by a fellow traveler on my cruise http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2359745 It does contain comments from other Gate 1 travelers. There is another thread under Roll Call http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2376185. Not sure which ship you are on but most of that post is about the Monarch Queen but I believe the Danube cruise is mentioned.

Those were the two most helpful posts I found about Gate 1.

I am doing the Danube river cruise this summer !

Hi, Thanks for responding. We are a retired couple from Long Island, NY. Our friends who are from Holland recommended that we spend an extra night in Amsterdam so we arrive on 4/6. Hope we are not early for tulips. Look forward to meeting you.

Hi Anjo2 - We received our documents today! Although it was 30 pages, I was hoping for a bit more detail, specifically the start times for the optional tours in Paris :confused:. We extended in Paris at the end of the trip but wish we would have added a day in Amsterdam as well.

Can anyone tell me if there is laundry on the Monarch Baroness? We are extending our trip in Paris after our cruise in April and were hoping the ship had a laundry so that we can pack a bit lighter.
