  1. I just purchased the plastic RC holders. I have never had a problem before but I totally agree that these make sense in the long run. Good advice about purchasing the wider ones that accommodate ALL cruise line tags. But can't you just cut them a little smaller to fit the wider tags? We too, go on many different cruise lines.

  2. We are booked for next week and room #13095. Although some cruisers have speculated about the noise from Deck 14 was wondering if anyone has actually experienced staying on Deck 13. We have a great position midship but if we can't sleep who cares!

  3. We are cruising on Divina out of Miami on 10/25. Restaurant package for Divina $109 pp which includes Eataly Ristorante Italia, Galaxy, Steakhouse and free Pizza in Pizzeria Italia and one special in Sports bar.

Each of these are for specific items in each restaurant. One app, one entree, on dessert. And the 7 sample menu and 7 wines in Ristorante Italia.

My question! Does it make sense to just book each restaurant and order off menu? We have already booked the Allegrissimo Premium beverage package.

Website is really no help here. Thanks!

  4. You are correct 13178 is 148 sq ft with no sofa and a smaller balcony than 13180 is 191 sq ft and it does have a sofa.

Well I just saw all these inquiries about rooms so I thought I may as well ask about our room #13095 Riclop! Should we be worrying about noise from the deck above us?

    Thanks,

  5. Catherine,,,the new experience packages are available for sailings beginning on October 18th, 2014 and for new bookings made after September 23rd 2014.

    Hi Catherine,

We are currently booked on 10/25 Divina sailing from Miami with a B2 balcony room. Called MSC today (promotion starts today) and customer rep, Dave, double checked before giving me any answers. If you are currently booked, you will not get beverage package. Our room is considered Fantastica and we will NOT get the beverage package but will get priority seating for early or late dining, free room service, 50% off fitness classes and personal trainer. (children offers are also available but doesn't apply to us).

  6. If you are already booked you were not suppose to get anything the fact that they included some things is a plus. It clearly states that bookings made today and on will receive the perks

If you click onto "this site" in JLawrence's post you will see that they do offer what was quoted to me as a previously booked passenger. No mention of the $250 onboard credit however that JLawrence mentioned in his/her post.

  7. Inclusive Experiences is MSC Cruises new pricing structure for October, 18th sailings onward. As of September 23, 2014, all cruises must be booked into one of the four Inclusive Experiences (Bella, Fantastica, Aurea, MSC Yacht Club).

  8. Thank you for your reply. We plan to keep an open mind and go "European". We too, love Celebrity overall but had one great cruise on Princess that was fabulous as well. We had booked the Equinox for a Panama Canal cruise for next year but my daughter decided to get married recently so our Panama Canal cruise was cancelled. Paying for the wedding took precedence! Enjoy your cruise.

  9. I just finished reading your absolutely wonderful review. Just like a good book - I couldn't put it down. We just recently booked the Divina 10/25 cruise and like everyone else have been surfing the web to familiarize ourselves before getting on board. Much negativity, and then high praises.

And because of so many highs and lows, cruisers scratching their heads and wondering what is the real "story".

Well JW you just won the Pulitzer Prize of "cruising reviews". My surfing has stopped right here. We have booked the Allegrissimo Premium package, will take your advice about going ala carte at the speciality restaurants (had just posted a question about that) and will take lunch in the MDR.

The only thing missing is having you and Jerome aboard our cruise.

  10. I'm pretty sure most of you knew that you could pre-book specialty restaurants but I wasn't aware of this package until today:

    MSC DIVINA SPECIALTY DINING PACKAGE

THE BEST FOOD EXPERIENCE AT SEA AT A VALUE PRICE. The package includes FIVE unique experiences: one lunch or dinner in Eataly's Restaurant + one dinner in the elegant Ristorante Italia + one dinner in our sensory fusion Galaxy Restaurant + a package bonus of one experience in American Sports Bar + one pizza at our Pizzeria Italia. Eataly Restaurant experience includes one starter or pasta dish of your choice, 1 main course (T-Bone steak is excluded) and one Eataly's dessert. Ristorante Italia experience includes one signature table d'hote menu. The Galaxy restaurant experience includes our exlusive sample menu with seven dishes and seven wines!. The American Sports Bar experience includes our famous Sample Platter. The Pizzeria Eataly experience includes any pizza of your choice from our pizza menu (one meter of pizza is excluded). Our Maitre d'Hotel will assist you with planning and reservation of your prepaid experiences.

Cost for this is $214 for two. To me, doesn't seem like a bad deal. Just throwing that out there FYI.

I found this same offer on MSC website and decided to call. Agent did not see it, put me on hold to ask supervisor, came back and said they do not see it on their side. I decided to try it anyway and put in all my info, name, reservation #, credit card info and #780 which is the code for this offer. Hit the button and got an error message.

If you go through the regular routine of putting in your reservation # and being identified in the system the packages that are available for your cruise pop up. There are individual packages for each restaurant, but not this one.

While on this subject has anyone used the individual dining package and be willing to let me know if its worth doing or would you suggest just booking the restaurant and going ala carte?

  11. We have just booked the Hampton Inn in Miami using the Park & Cruise Package for one night. $189 + tax. While they say it is "free" parking it really is not. If we were to book a room for one night the rate would be $135-$150 depending. But it stills seems to be the best one available. I spent hours last night calling various hotels. Will let you know when we return.
