A couple of things... Hooked On Juneau is out of business last

I checked. The king salmon fishing would be more than likely ocean fishing in that area. In June your stream fishing would be mainly for small trout or dollies. Juneau has Bear Creek Outfitters that does fly-outs for river fishing. If nothing else its a great outdoor experience.

I just checked Hooked on Juneau website before seeing this post, and it says trips are available in July. Do you have any additional information that they might not still be in business by then? And, do you have any other suggestions for an inland fishing tour (that doesn't involve a helicopter.) Thanks so much

What is your recommendation for Glacier Bay? It is our first trip to Alaska too! Thanks!

We arrive at 2:30 on Sat afternoon for a Sunday cruise. We are renting a car (using points) as the rental taxes and parking is way cheaper than shuttle service both ways for our family of 4. So, this means we have flexibility on what to do. Then we fly out at 4:30 after debarkation.

 

So, we have a few hours in Houston on Sat afternoon/evening and a few hours in Galveston or Houston before flying home.

 

Any suggestions? We've looked about Buffalo Bayou Park and know that the seawall in Galveston might be places to visit.

I was wondering this as well, so thanks for posting! Could you please share where you are parking for the week? We have a family of 5, so I am definitely looking at renting a car as well.
