  1. Can anybody share any recent experiences with dancing & dance clubs on the Glory?

My wife and I like to dance nightly at the clubs and also to live music.

    Any live bands?

    Filipino bands?

Enjoying a cruise in January on the Glory one way or the other....Thanks in advance.....;)

  2. We were in St. George last week (10/13) for the 2nd time on the Dawn, love the town, sites, shopping the reenactment etc....

My wife and I were shocked  that in the Lobby of the Dawn they had a warning about Tobacco Bay advising people not to swim there as the town discharges raw sewage directly into the ocean about a mile out from the beach.

Has anybody else got warnings like this on your ship?

    Is it true?

  3. Look for the mini buses that are lined up by the ship. Was there in August on the Dawn and took the mini bus to horseshoe bay for $7 each way.

This was my same experience when we were there on Monday 10/12, $7 each way. Lots of white Mini Van's/Buses lined up between the two ships, as one filled up, they started filling the next.

When we were ready to leave, we were able to get immediately on, and it happened to be the same driver from our morning trip.

  4. I'll give it a try, thanks!

I emailed Daislyn Saturday morning for reservations, and she had gotten back to me with a confirmation by the end of the day.

Thank you for contacting Carambola Beach Club. We are pleased to confirm your reservation for 2 beach chairs and an umbrella for a 10:30am. The rentals are US$10.00 each. Please let us know if you would like us to make a lunch reservation in your name and your preferred time.

Beach reservations are held for one hour. Please see our hostess upon your arrival to Carambola.

We look forward to your visit!

  5. I am dumping my carnival mastercard after 4 years, the rewards are pathetic.

I just reviewed my Statement last week and onboard credits available. I will not be using my Carnival card anymore, but like someone else mentioned, I will not close it either.

From January - November, I have accrued $750 in onboard credit. The kicker is when you read on the 2nd page that I have also paid $825 in interest. I pay my card off every month, but with the Barclay Carnival master Card, they charge you interest on Each Purchase. It doesn't matter if you pay it off or not, that is ridiculous.

  6. We booked our trip of St. Lucia with Cosul Tours. As others have said previously, we both that it was the best tour we've every taken (and I have toured most of the caribbean islands, some more than once!). Our driver was Swabie. He was great. We loved St. Lucia and look forward to returning one day. We will definitely book another tour with Cosul.

    Well said Yulesong!

As far as the Snake, the one we saw was a guy standing side the road on a corner holding it, I do not know how you can avoid not passing it. Our driver did ask ahead of time if any of the 11 of us in our van wanted to stop and none did, so we drove by.

One thing we really enjoyed but didnt hear mention of before was the butterfly & garden tour. Our driver stopped there prior to the beach break, and Im glad he did, absolutely beautiful.

Some of the best island snacks/food......Mmmmmm!:)
