Can you link to where you are seeing the threat levels are actually getting raised? I can only find articles saying the State Dept has renewed the existing warnings. The current advisory is dated Oct 2022. I'd be curious if any warnings have actually changed.

I have not seen anything since the Department of State advisory in Oct 2022 but only going off of news reports from some of the major (non-cable) networks.  I am checking Department of State on a near daily basis.  Our port call in Nicaragua was canceled due to security issues (so I was told)

  2. I just now discovered that the Radiance of the Seas MyTime Dining is closed for reservations on 7 of the 15 nights we are on board from Panama Canal Transit sailing in April.  Just what does that mean for my group of 7 cruisers?

How long has it been since you cruised ?

Asking because since the restart there have been a huge number complaining about my time , and stories of wait times of 45 mins. plus.

After looking into this in the fall , I decided to change from my time to early. Originally had gone with my Time for the same reason OP spoke of... 5 P.M. was too early

We  last cruised in March 2022 on Celebrity Millennium.  But, we upgraded to the Blue Class Dining and the ship was only at 43% capacity at the time.

  4. I guess I am a bit confused with the idea of MyTime Dining.  I am traveling with my wife and 5 other friends and we all selected MyTime Dining.  Now, I am just discovering that MyTime Dining seems to require reservations.  The idea of just walking up does not really work.  Is that a correct assumption on my part?

  5. I have been monitoring cruise ship port calls on St Croix for the past couple of weeks as my wife and I are on a cruise scheduled for a port call in late February.  Our daughter who lives on St Croix has reported that 2 ships scheduled for St Croix failed to dock last week.  And now the word from her friends who own a local dive shop have been told that Explorer of the Seas has cancelled St Croix for 1/18.  Is it a matter of too many cases on board or some other reason?

Six ships that had planned to dock in St Croix were told that they weren’t accepting cruise ships sat this time. It was an easy transition to St Martin. This is St. Kitts

Bit confused about the St Croix comments as the Port of Frederiksted on St Croix can only handle 2 ships at the same time. And, no ship is due at St Croix until 1/18

Captain announced during dinner that a few crew tested positive during routine testing. They are quarantined and any people traced have been tested and are all negative. There are no passengers involved. Oh well, I knew it would happen eventually. Tomorrow is another port day.  P. S. We were not turned away from St. Croix. The protocol changed. St. Martin was a better port anyway.

How was the protocol at St Croix changed?

  8. USVI indicates 2 days by air and 5 days by marine vessel but does not address a cruise ship whose passengers are tested 2 days prior to boarding with 5 days before arriving on St Croix or St Thomas.  A five-day requirement would mean I need to be tested prior to boarding in FLL. Or does Celebrity retest at the boarding process?

  9. Last fall, my wife and I traveled by air to USVI and prior to starting our trip, we needed to be cleared through the USVI Travel Portal with a test no less than 2 days prior to arrival on USVI.  Our Millennium cruise arrives on St Croix after we have been on board for 5 days.  How do we handle the USVI Travel Portal requirements?
