  1. Can anyone advise me on the key package please.  I've just purchased this for my 3 day cruise in August.  My check in time on my sail pass said 2.30pm.  I'm assuming that will change now I've bought the key?  Most of the reason behind buying it was so we could spend a full day on board before we sail whilst we only have 3 days.  Anyone any experience of the key and how it works?

  2. Help!  This is probably going to make me look really stupid, but I cannot find a link anywhere in my booking to pay the balance.  Cant call to pay as they are closed at the weekend.

I click the link to PAY FOR MY CRUISE, but it just takes me to a page that has the link to the cruise planner, and the cruise planer doesn't seem to have a link to pay for your cruise.

Am I being really stupid?! I've literally clicked the pay for my cruise link a dozen times and getting nowhere.

If anyone can send me an idiots guide or screen shot I would be most grateful!

  3. Hi all,

I have never sailed RCI before and last night booked the last remaining ocean view cabin on Oasis of the seas 3 night med cruise in August.  I have been watching the prices (oh my, do they fluctuate daily!) and when I saw an ocean view at £350 cheaper than the last time I had looked I just booked it.  As it was the last one I can appreciate that is unlikely to be in a favourable  position.  It's on deck 7 over the fitness suite. Does anyone have any experience of these forward cabins?  I am used to midship balconies on Carnival!

Should I try to upgrade to a balcony closer to the sailing?  At present there are loads of balconies left but were starting from just under £900 so thought I would save my money for what is only 3 days!

  4. Can anyone advise what drinks are available in the restaurants for free?  Water, tea, coffee, soft drinks?  I haven't ever cruised on NCL and will be buying a just cruise fare.  I definitely don't drink enough to justify spending hundreds of pounds more for all inclusive.  Also on Carnival if you buy a bottle of wine in the dining room, they will keep whatever is left for your next night.  Do they do this on NCL?  And lastly what is the policy for taking drinks onboard?  Can you take one bottle of wine per person?

    Thanks for the help!

  5. We went with spencer on his boat to the mud baths and waterfall. We had a brilliant day, if I was going to be negative at all, we could have done with it being a little shorter. We didn't get much time in the port when we got back, half an hour less on the beach would have been fine. But a fab tour!

  6. Paying to use a hotel pool seems silly to me. Might as well just relax on the ship under the same sun, free food and drinks (especially if you have a drink package). Makes for a beautiful day while most people leave the ship and you have it all to yourself.

I know what you're saying but Palms Court Gardens is an old plantation house, it's not a hotel, it only caters accommodation in a cottage for up to 4 people, they have a vintage rolls royce there and hand make jewellery, It's a beautiful relaxing place with gorgeous gardens. The owner came and spoke to us and we met some lovely people there, It was very quiet, I'd say 15 people there max. Much more beautiful and peaceful than the ship.

Plus the walk there goes past a monument and like I say on the way back the locals were out cooking on oil drums and drinking beer, we loved being off the ship

PS I am very frugal with money (single parent) and I spent over a hundred dollars that day, but it was worth it

  7. I am also having trouble, I sent an initial enquiry on weds evening UK time and had a response next morning telling me the tour I wanted was fully booked, Ive replied 3 times since saying `I would book on the one she had available and no response. Very frustrating. I will have to work out the time difference and phone them.

  8. Hi everyone, after some advice, we really want to do stingray city but don't want a tour that then goes snorkelling as I would like to see some of GC as well. I found a native waterways tour but it's fully booked :(

Can anyone recommend an alternative stingray and land tour?

  9. Wondering if anyone can offer me any advice, I would like to do a stingray city tour preferably one that isn't really full of people, but I don't want a tour that includes snorkelling as only my eldest daughter likes snorkelling. I would like to see a bit of GC as well, do any tour operators do a tour that combines both? I've been googling like mad :-) Thought I had found one but can't find it now.

  10. I sailed on the fascination last Feb round the southern Caribbean, it was our first carnival cruise so had nothing to compare it to (although I have been on the Queen Mary II before) I have to say it didn't even seem old to me until someone pointed it out and as we were off the ship everyday it didn't matter, My kids barely even used the waterslide. I'm sure it will be fabulous, I loved PR!

  11. I cruised on carnival for he first time last Feb and bought BB for my two daughters then 11 and 14. We do not drink that many fizzy drinks (as we call them here in the UK) but I assumed that the drinks would be very expensive on board so bought BB. When I saw the price of the drinks on the checks I realised my kids needed to drink a lot to make it worth the cost. Since I don't like them to have rotten teeth, and I like them to drink lots of water, and the fact that we were off the ship more than we were on it, and that you can get water and lemonade all day anyway, I won't be buying it this time round. I also don't buy the alcohol package as again you have to drink a lot! I just take on my allowed soft drinks and bottle of wine and take it from there.

  12. My head is hurting I have spent that much time researching these cruises. I am looking at carnival cruises out of Miami in April. I have the option of the Eastern Caribbean on the Glory or the Southern on the Vista. The Vista is more expensive but I can' t decide which itinerary. Eastern is Grand Cayman, Mahogany Bay, Belize and Cozumel. Southern is Grand Turk, La Romana, Curacao and Aruba. Does anyone have any useful information on either the ships or ports that might help sway my decision? I love the idea of visiting Mayan Ruins but would prefer to be on a newer ship, that said I sailed on the Fascination last year and we had a good time. I'm just fed up now and can't come to a decision!
