  1. Ship - Bliss

    Deck - 15

    Stateroom # - 15880

    Stateroom Category –B1

    Starboard or Port Side -Aft

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) –Yes mostly. Noise of a rolling cart above in the spa was heard some mornings and late night Spice H20 party heard in room.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Beautiful aft view

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - balcony was deep enough for lounger and 4 chairs and small table

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - Yes. Fine black soot. You needed to wipe the chairs and railing each time before you sat down or leaned on the railing.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No

Any other comments? A long walk to everywhere except the Spa. We enjoyed the cabin with larger balcony and would book again.

  2. I know it will be hard..but try to pack light and efficient. Using a few colors that can be mixed and matched together to create different outfits. For your Mom, she should have a

Pashmina or light sweater at night on the ship because it can be chilly in the ac. Have a pair of comfortable walking shoes. We like to pre plan our port days. We’ve booked private tours and or ship

Sponsored excursions in advance. We also bring a highlighter to highlight things we want to do on the ship’s daily activity sheet. Planning for the cruise is almost as fun as being on it..lol

  3. Not a secret..but 8 laps on the Breakaway jogging track is a mile. On recent sea days, Margaritaville Restaurant had a breakfast buffet which was not over crowded. I saw some folks bringing the throw pillow from their room to pad their Theater seat. In the Breakaway Garden Cafe buffet, they have premade eggs Benedict along the backend of the buffet which was usually not too crowded.

  4. Hi there...we took an inland Tahiti 4WD Sept. 2015. The trip not particularly rough. It was very dusty. We were covered with this road dust. We did it on day of disembarkation then took the ferry over to Moorea for our post cruise stay. You can imagine the embarrassment traveling the ferry after this trip! We cleaned up and brushed off the best we could in the ferry terminal restroom.

  5. Interesting topic...we have had a majority of very nice tablemates. We usually request a table for 8. One time the other 3 couples never showed up for the entire cruise! LOL..the folks at the surrounding tables befriended us and we had a lot of laughs. On the most recent cruise we had two instances of ackwardness. On the first night open seating for dinner there were two non English speaking couples. One of the gentleman became very upset over the quality of his food and the service. I was so embarrassed at how he communicated this to the waitstaff. Thankfully we did not have to interact with them again. The last instance was also an awkward dinner moment. We were seated at a table for two that was grouped closely with 2 other tables of two. Admittedly this was either a table for 2 or 6 depending on who was seated next to you. It was select dining and we really liked the table and the waiter so we asked to get seated at the same table each night. But each night we had different folks at the other tables for 2. Some folks refused to acknowledge our existence which was awkward. It was just very odd. They were determined to get their table for 2 experience!

  6. We are thinking of taking this tour but does it leave any time to shop back in town ( Charlotte Amailie) when we return and was the hike to the beach very long?

Hello, the Summit was docked at Crown Bay. We were picked up nearby the ship and there was no time after to get to Charlotte Amalie for shopping. Maybe a quick peek into a shop at Crown Bay. As for the hike it was about a 1.2 mile hike each way to Honeymoon Beach. All the St. John excursions rode over together. Paper bracelets were given to identify which St. John tour you were on.

  7. Hi,

We are Eclipse Dec 11 - 21 and I have some OBC that I'd like to use for excursions. Can you recommend any of the Celebrity excursions?

    Thanks

We recently (Oct. 2016) took their St. John on your own shore excursion. The timing and cost were similar to us doing the same trip on our own. Once on St. John we hiked to Honeymoon Beach for the day. The boat ride was bumpy and I was glad I took Dramamine. Enjoy your cruise.

  8. We are booked with them for February 3rd, 2015, from a Pride of America cruise.

After then, I can let you know how it goes.:)

    Hi there,

I hope you had a great cruise. We have booked the Hilo tour with Lavaland and hope you can give a review. Thanks.

  9. Thank you for this useful information. I really appreciate the great detail of disembarkation RDC1. We may try to schedule an independent circle of the island style tour (either in advance or at the pier) or just make it easy and skip the tour and head on an earlier ferry to Moorea. Then schedule a tour when we return to the InterContinental Tahiti the day before we fly home.

  10. We arrive (12 day cruise Pacific Princess Sept. 16, 2015) in Papeete at 8pm and disembark the next day. We want to plan a 1/2 day Morning tour before we take the ferry to Moorea for 3 night stay. Will the ship hold our luggage? We have Princess air but post cruise hotels/transfers are independent. We will be back in Papeete for one night before our Air France flight at 8am staying at the Intercontental. We could do a tour then but hoped to just enjoy the resort. I also wondered if we booked a morning excursion either with or not with Princess on disembarkation day if that would solve the luggage issue. I've seen others rent a car for independent touring and luggage storage but we don't want the hassle.
