We did South Pacific on Voyager earlier this year and watched the RCI advert channel selling other cruises keen to do Caribbean and like the look of Harmony.
Q: what time of the year is best?
Q: do u recommend doing an Eastern and then Western or vice versa itinerary?
Q: why is Harmony the most expensive?

Hi are there particular cocktails you are interested in? (The menu is pretty long) The prices do include gratuity and are in USD. You can get the cocktail of the day for $8US which is what I did. There are also sometimes 2 for 1 offers in some venues.
On Carnival we discovered that the Long Island Iced Tea was the best value for money ie most amount of shots in any of the cocktails available! I don't normally drink cocktails but with the ridiculous prices of very ordinary wine (we live in South Australia) on board every other ship its the only way to go. Looking forward to being able to take 2 good bottles on board though. But any prices are great as really wondering if the deluxe drinks package is going to be worth it :)

As requested, here are beer and wine prices at one of the bars (casino). I have the whole menu but they are slow to upload so if anyone wants them I can do it when I get back.
These prices are in USD (the currency used on the ship). There are also a number of events that serve free 'champagne' - especially the art auctions and there seems to be an offer for 20% off bottles in the MDR most days. There are also buckets of beer available - I know the price is a bit cheaper by buying in bulk.
Thanks for this info - how much are cocktails??
Are the prices shown above in US $ I assume and do they include the 18% gratuity? I am confused with conflicting info at the moment

Hi we r on the same cruise yay getting so excited 1st on RCI but 4th cruise ! Anyway our agent said the boarding is just a guide to keep things flowing we r on deck 8 but weather permitting we're going to drop bags and then visit Rocks markets which is what we did last time on Carnival.
I'm wondering if anyone has advice on the drinks - package is it worth it? how much r drinks?
Thanks

Thanks for all the advice, I have started looking at prices around May even though it's not school break time.
I know it's not a cruising question but does anyone know about flights and do u think it's cheaper for us to fly in on west coast and then domestic over to Florida or fly into New York and then down? [emoji3]
