Captain Andrew Hall will be sharing QV with the Commodore in the future. He told us when we met him recently

We got off on the 22nd after 18 nights and they were trialling different things in the Chart Room but no mention then of charging.

As others have said, you could easily hear the music from outside the verandah whilst sitting in the chart room. When we were getting off yesterday they looked to be moving the piano from what was Midships bar.

We saw biscotti on last couple of days of the cruise, we just asked and got them. Think they were still finding their feet after refit and new concepts that were introduced. We just asked if we wanted something that wasn't obvious and we got with no trouble at all!

Our first ever cruise on QE2 in 2004 for my 50th birthday, by day two I was well and truly hooked! Since then the pleasure of meeting up with members of the crew who have become friends. Remember walking past the Britannia Restaurant on the first day once to be greeted by the maitre d' with wide open arms! The sail ins and outs from Venice, a sight you never forget! So many fabulous experiences

We are booked into the new Britannia Club on Queen Victoria after her refit. Would anyone have a sample of the a la carte menu that is offered there. Many thanks

Hattie, have you tried Volterol for your knee, it helps me and I thought if in Gibralter you may find a Boots or chemist

Loved Tallin, great little market where shuttle bus stopped, stall holders so friendly and obliging.

David, we did Burano on our own as we'd been to Venice a few times. Caught shuttle boat to St Marks then couple of bridges along vaparetto to Burano, changing boats on the way but all run to time, you get off one, jump on another. Spent a good few hours wandering round, had a lovely lunch the did thd return. An excellent day out

Tricia, they announced at muster where the smoking areas were so we had no problem as on opposite side. Part of the Sunset Bar at the back was smoking and really smokey but we went out the opposite side door and no problem. Have a great cruise

Tricia, smoking was outside Java on our cruise to Canaries, so no problem. Ideal cabin location, lifts could be iffy but we didnt stress and got one soon enough. Our cabin steward was excellent and so hard working. You'll love it if you've not done Britannia before, we were a bit nrrvous of the size, yes she's big but after a few days you don't really notice. We had no problems getting on and off at the ports or with the shuttle buses, we just let the eager beavers go and sauntered off when ready. Go to and try the Glass House food, it was excellent.

We had G412 which looked down onto Glass House outside deck so no obstruction whatsoever, woukd choose this cabin again!

If desperate there's always the irons and ironing boards in the launderette. But I always think if its not too bad by the time you've sat in a bar/at dinner its creased anyway!

We go in three weeks to the Canaries, G deck midships, obstructed, got 1 pm check in, no special tier.

We had E deck on Oriana and got 1 o'clock, not special tier or anything and are on Britannia in 4 weeks on G deck midships and have got 1 o'clock again, been very lucky!

Michael, also on B630, we've got 4 formals and 8 elegant casual, so 4 posh frocks and one just in case you decide you don't like one of them when you put it on! Or your wife doesn't!

Every time ee've been to Gran Canaria ( a good few) always docked at the same place, entrance has biig sail monument. 15/20 minute stroll to Playa de las Canteras, fabulous beach, loads of bars and restaurants, can recommend La Regatta

They've been saying 'high volume of calls' now for about two months - plenty of time if they're that bothered to do something about it and employ more staff - the excuse pretty thin now! I always use the local phone number, you may wait but you are not payinv silly money!

Iced water and iced orange on Queen Victoria especially if you tender but also on hot days when reboarding in port. I remember in St Petersburg because there was a queue they were coming along with drinks on a tray

We spent 18 nights on QV right after refit. Not one problem with service, food or crew. Only problem team from shoreside putting pressure on waiters by asking what people were ordering in the new Chart Room instead of getting feedback from the paying customers and deeming that 'cucumber water' should be given out, it was tepid, horrid and wasn't fit to wash your feet in! We passed comments on our questionnaire, email and phone call that if feedback is wanted harrying busy waiters is not the way to get it, ask the paying guest but we received no response, obviously don't like hearing the truth!
