  1. I have been looking around for an answer to my question about using Google hangouts.

Can I use Google Hangouts aboard the ship using Medallion Net?

Can I use the Medallion Net on Princess Cay?

    Thanks,

    Justin J.

    Tidecat,

What was your embark time window? I am sailing in November and the earliest slot I could pick was 12:00 to 12:30. Were there earlier slots available when you picked? I am just trying to find out what the earliest windows are that they offer. Thanks!

That was the earliest I could pick as well.

  3. Bluedot I agree to twincheryl about Long Beach.

    1. We got there at 11 AM and we checked in and was on the boat before noon. The rest of our group didn't get there until about 11:45 AM and we went ahead of them and they checked in. So no staggered check in at All.

    2. Yes, twincheryl was right, you get a paper with your zone, we were zone 2. It was a nice day, but it can get windy.

    3. Check in is a bit awkward if you arrive before noon, you check in outside. If you come towards noon they push you inside. Not sure why they just don't do the check in inside the terminal in the first place it would be a lot nicer and easier.

I hope this helps you out. Enjoy your trip.

  4. I have looked at a lot of posts about this and most of them are about other ships and ports. I am looking for anyone who has information about the Long Beach staggered check in. Here are my questions about my check in time of 12-12:30 for April 3, 2017, Inspiration cruise.

    1. Do we check at that time?

    2. Can we board at that time?

    3. Do we still get our S&S cards from the Queen Mary?

    4. If so, are we allowed in there before our time?

The last cruise we went on from Long Beach we had a suite aboard Inspiration and we allowed early boarding with the Platinum and Diamond members.

    Any information would be helpful.

  5. I will be Cruising on the Inspiration and I have booked these two cabins. I have been doing some research on these rooms but haven't found what I am looking for.

Does anyone know how these rooms are configured for 4 (#173) and 5 (E203) people?

    Is it crowded?

I have seen some different images but nothing of these two rooms.

    Can anyone help me out?

  6. Just booked a Ocean View room on deck 7. I was wondering if any know how the room is set up. There will be 4 of us in that room. All the pictures show different options, like a sofa with a pull down. Two pull downs. One pull down and one bed on the floor.

I was wondering if any one had pictures or have been in one of these rooms before. I am in E173.

  7. Does anyone know what the weight limit are on the upper berth beds on the Crown?

I have read the forums on other cruise ships (carnival) that it is 250lbs. I have two boys who are 6'1 and 6'4 and about 275lbs. Will they hold them?

  8. I hope you're not suggesting that teenagers should go into Cabo at night on their own? That's just crazy. I would never do that to my teenagers unless I never wanted to see them again! Cabo is generally pretty safe, but there's a reason why soldiers do patrol the port, along with their AK 47.... it's Mexico, not the U.S. although I wouldn't let my teenagers go out in the middle of the night in the U.S. either!

I am not suggesting that. I just don't want my teenagers to try and sneak out after I go to bed. I would hope my teenagers would be smart, but you never know.

  9. During our cruise over Thanksgiving, we are having an overnight stay in Cabo. I understand that the ship could have an come and go as you please, but since we aren't docked and we are using a Tender.

    The questions are:

    1. Will the Tender be going all night?

    2. If Yes, Will they allow teenagers off the boat in the middle of the night?

  10. In Nov. we went on a Cruise with RCI and were reminded of the 1pm rule, it was out of Venice so a lot of early arrivals, and yes the doors were locked.

On our last cruise late Feb-Mar, MR on the Crown.

We were given a 1/2 sheet of paper at check in that stated our rooms would not be ready until 1pm.

Prior to this cruise I had read on CC about this change on some ships, so it played into my actions.

We boarded with one of the first groups around 11:30, once on the ship we were asked by 2 different staff members where our cabin was, but following the notice we received we sat by the IC got drink stickers, had a drink and waited for the dining room to open keeping our carry on with us. When we entered the dining room we were the only ones with our carry-on, evidently the cabins were opened, should have asked the staff when they addressed us about our cabin location.

We have had Aft cabins that have not been ready when we have boarded Princess in SP the last few years or so...no locked doors like RCI but just totally not ready...I personally would not leave any items that I value in a cabin that is still being cleaned. I trust the staff, it is the guests that I question:rolleyes:

This was the first time we had ever arrived in San Pedro so early usually we board around 1pm.

BTW we had the best room attendants ever, with Princess on the Crown in Feb and March.

When we went to Alaska on the Crown, some of our group got the note stating that their room won't be ready until 1PM. However, our room was ready. We dropped the luggage off and went off to eat.

  11. My DW, DS (17) are going on this 5 night 6 day cruise. Is it two early to know:

What entertainment is aboard the ship?

Is there going to be a comedian? If yes, then who?

Is formal night going to be on Thanksgiving?

Are they going to serve a Thanksgiving meal?

I like the Crown, went to Alaska on her last year. Looking forward to going on her again before she departs for her new home.

  12. So I have been on a the following:

7 days to the Mexican Rivera aboard the Royal Mariner of the seas

5 days to Baja Mexico on the Carnival Inspiration

7 days to Alaska on the Crown Princess

We wanted to go on a cruise over Thanksgiving and since we already did the Baja Mexico one on Carnival. I was happy to see that the Crown was going there. Even if it only has one stop in Cabo. It is a quick getaway and I think it is worthwhile. I enjoyed the crown, however, it is all in your attitude.

  13. Having just returned from the CARIBBEAN PRINCESS (4-18 to 4-25-2015) we heard another passenger exclaiming about the "ribs" and "chicken wings" from the TRIDENT GRILL. Thinking that this grill was just burgers, fries, & hot dogs, we inquired. The passenger told us that the "ribs" & "wings" were available after 6:00 p.m. Sadly, our dinner in the MDR was also at 6:00 p.m., so we never made it to the TRIDENT GRILL to check this out for ourselves...although the passenger told us the "wings" were delicious and the "ribs" were huge!!!

    Debjo

While in Alaska on Crown this year, we ate in the MDR at 5:30PM but I was able to eat the wings and ribs later that night as it was open until 11PM.
