Pretty much the inside, OV and IVs are identical except for one wall (you do get a slightly larger room in an IV as it absorbed the balcony)

If you want you may want to look into the MoveUp program, maybe the you'll see value in upgrading

I have a bid I for the Ascent Dec 10 to a infinite verandah,s till showing as pending, thanks

We always used to book Inside rooms prior to the shut down because I would rather spend money on excursions or ship activites.  Post shutdown I booked out the next 5 cruises all in a balcony room.  Two were nice while the other three all had smokers on the balcony, one cruise had the next 4 cabins that were cruising together and they thought the drinking shouldn't end until 4 am.

We are now back in the inside rooms and it's so much quieter and I am able to sleep without hearing the door to the balcony open/close/open at 3:00 am by people who don't know what an inside voice is.  Yes, security was called on the 4 cabins together and when knocking at their door they refused to open for security.  We left our balcony room after the second night to move to another floor and security was going to gain  access from our room.  I still remember the smile on his face when he said "We have plans tonight when they won't open the door."

Very good points, thanks so much

Simply look at inside cabins for Beyond or Apex. I'd recommend paying more for a deluxe inside, not only because they're larger, but because you avoid the cabins attached to balconies, which was a bad experience on Apex. The problem is that there's a hallway door leading to the inside cabin and balcony, so whenever people in the other room go out of their cabin or inside from the hallway, the slamming door will wake you or disturb you. You also hear them chatting outside their door, thinking they have privacy and you're not hearing everything. It also makes it more difficult for a cabin steward to see you going in and out of your cabin, and I found those inside seemed to get the lowest priority for getting made up quickly on embarkation and other days. Other than that, the rooms are gorgeous and spacious, as on older Solstice class cabins I've been on. Harr Travel does the best cabin tours on YouTube, going through even inside cabins, and he does long ship tours of 45 minutes or so, and you just have to tune out his travel agent sales pitch.

Thanks will look them up! And thanks  for the tip , I think we have a deluxe inside on the Ascent Dec 10!

This will be our first time in an inside cabin after having sailed on Celebrity for 15 years or more.  I know my husband will not mind it as I am always telling him to go on the balcony and he never does.  My biggest concern is seeing if we have arrived or what the weather looks like.  I know I can see it on the television but it is quite different.  Hope I do not feel like I have to run to the outside deck often from the cabin to satisfy my need for outdoor space. The important thing is that we are sailing.  It was a complimentary cabin.

We always just looked on the tv, but we haven’t cruised in about 8 years, how did u get a complimentary cabin?

    Top 10 highlights from me:

    10.  The free charm necklace from Effy

    9. Chateaubriand

    8. Plunge pools and champagne glass hot tubs

    7. Jorge at the Oceanside Cafe

    6. Raspberry cheesecake at the bistro

    5. The service/staff

    4. the buffet in general

    3. the croissants in the buffet

    2. The theater show "Awaken"

    1. The jogging track

I'll expound in my full review which I will post soon. Will also add top negatives. Overall, this was the best cruise of my life. Too many awesome things to name them all.

I love love Cheesecake! Was it really good in the Bistro? Is that a paid restaurant?

  6. We have not been able to cruise in about 8 years, we mostly always booked an inside cabin, only had an issue once on the Solstice b2b and they upgraded us to balcony. We do like the dark cabinfor sleeping. We are hardly in our cabin during the day. We are booked for Dec 10 on the new Ascent. So far the YouTubers have not shown any inside cabins. Any one else book inside cabins with Celebrity?

Sadly, and much to DH’s disappointment, there is no rowing machine on Ascent.

I’m the parrot lady 😉.  Sinbad is my bestie…I don’t let on until the last possible moment that I am leaving…as soon as he spots the luggage, all bets are off!  I do think he suspects that I am leaving in two weeks 🚢.

Sorry for interrupting Georgia_Peaches!  And now it’s time to watch you sailaway on the webcam.

    Bon Voyage IMG_5119.thumb.jpeg.4a64efbb96efcba48af8bc2871e6baf8.jpeg

If you dine in the Normandie restaurant and meet sommelier Windy, please tell her mom and papa can’t wait to see her. Unfortunately, the Martini Bar star that is  in all Celebrity advertisements, Rendy, is leaving the Ascent today and headed to the Edge. ☹️

We will be on the Dec 10 sailing. If your daughter needs anything, send me a message on FB messenger so I get it. We are driving in so can pu what she needs! Would be happy to do so.

    Morning! It’s that day…like you didn’t know! 😂

Thank you for the pics and thoughts on the Centric, just confirmed we made the right decision. 👏

While on board would you take some pics of the Sunset Bar area? Also provide thoughts on it. We spend a lot of time there.

What was the cab cost to the Centric? Thinking Uber Vs Cab. Normally take a cab.

Will be watching the sail away on the web cam. 👀

    Cheers!

Do you have the web cam link? Thanks

Lol. We only have cats, no parrot. I’m not nearly that adventurous 😅

So glad to have you along!  I’ve looked at all the menus and they are much better in terms of variety and number of options than they were when we were on Equinox in July. Have to agree, some of those dishes do sound exotic. Anyway, I’ll definitely be posting lots of food pics!

Oh, and what did you think of the Canada firing?  About time?  DH says we need to find a sports bar when we get back to FLL for our turn around day so he can watch the game. I gave him rolley eyes  like this 🙄

Enjoy, we board Dec 10! Currently in Vero Beach Fl at our condo, but we live in Canada, what Canada firing?
cant wait to see your pictures, hope to see a ship video from a utuber later today.

Georgia_ Peaches~ thank you for taking us along & Happy Anniversary to you & your husband! No better way to celebrate than on a cruise!!  Will be watching your sail away tomorrow on the Webcam

    . 🎉🥂🎉🥂

As you walk through the Oceanview Cafe, I would appreciate it if you can let me know if they have expanded the outside sitting area and setup of the tables out there. When we were on the Beyond last November, the area was not very large and the tables were set up communal style. We are spoiled with the outside area on the  Reflection, which we sail on again this Saturday!!

We are booked to sail on the Ascent next Nov. and the following April. That is of  course if my DH can deal with the Infinite Veranda this upcoming summer on the Beyond. We were fortunate to get a sunset veranda last year. Unfortunately the prices have gone up quite a bit and they are hardly available. July of 24 on the Beyond will be our first in an Infinite Veranda & the test. 🤞🤞

In the meantime enjoy your evening in Ft Lauderdale & an exciting embarkation day!!!

We haven’t cruised in about 10 yrs, starting again. On the Ascent Dec 10 and Reflection in Jan . Can u let me know how the Reflection is when you get back?  Thanks

Many YouTubers can make over $1M. When they have a provocative title, it’s called click bate to get you to check out their videos. I do subscribe to several  travel& cruise channels, but have unsubscribed on occasion when they go in a direction I don’t support. I watch  to visualize the ships, locations, hotels, cabins, etc.

i am looking forward to getting on Ascent this coming Sunday, and need some more training to be able to post any photos, but others in this cruise have that covered.

I find a few are very annoying and waste my time.

Not at all a silly reason. Content = profits for him, especially when it's unique. He's never sailed VV so he needs VV content. Also, re: his switch from the Dec 3 to Nov 22 sailing of Ascent, he even admits, "I'm going to be one of the first people to have content from on board Celebrity Ascent." That's it in a nutshell. For him, providing Ascent content on 11/22 is more valuable than providing it on 12/3 as other vloggers will have covered it already.

Also that cruise is mostly for TA and you tubers. I have followed a utuber from Canada and he will be on the 3 day or 4 day. I can’t remember which. He is travel by Don or something like that.

    we bring  our TERVIS TUMBLERS.

Good for hot and cold drinks.

Better than drinking from a can, esp with the weak straws nowadays!

Glass around any  pool area is dangerous.

But hardly needs to be a  Cruise Crituc controversy!

We love our Tervis tumblers, we need to go to their store to get a few replaced, have more than gotten our $$ worth

Still no menus in the app but the daily planner is fully loaded along with events at the spa.  Fitness classes (not that I'll be enrolling in those) are still pending.

A youtube video popped up in my feed from a guy named Zach who indicated that he was booked on the maiden voyage for Ascent on Dec. 3rd but has cancelled due to the two preview cruises (this one) and the fact that he will not be among the first to sail.  A shame, but I guess I understand...

Anyway, there's a laundry list of things to do today...just one more sleep 'till lift off! 😎

we are doing our 1st cruise together since about 9ish years. We live in St Catharines, Ontario Canada , bought a condo in Vero Beach FL in 09. So we are snowbirds, we didn’t cruise, other than a few short Disney ones, because our cockapoo had separation anxiety and we took him everywhere we went, he was our boy. He passed in Aug. we have booked the Ascent for Dec 10, so can’t wait to hear all about your cruise. I’m sure that there will be lots of utubes filming. I put a move up bid in, lowest price for a veranda, it still shows as pending. Anyone else on Dec 10 sailing? We are looking forward to just driving up in the am.

Thank you very much!  I'm bless to have a DH who loves cruising as much as me...and who tolerates my blogging about it as well!  We are also on Edge next year so this should be a nice little preview...even though my understanding is that Ascent will have some differences from the other E class ships.  Don't worry, I will take lots of pics!
