  1. I will be visiting Rhodes via NCL in October. In my research so far, I'm leaning towards this being a beach day.

    1. Is it still warm beach weather here in early October? Any clue on the water temp?

    2. I'd love to find a boat tour of some kind that maybe tours around the island and takes you to a few spots. Has anyone done something like this in Rhodes?

  2. Just returned from our cruise and our Barbados plans went amazingly well. Unfortunately Sanjay Kini had a teaching commitment (his other job) and was unable to drive us. He emailed me well beforehand to let me know and got another taxi driver to fill in. Sanjay actually came to meet us that morning at the terminal to make sure everything went well.

Our new driver took us to the Caves for our 9:00am tour (we were on the 1st tour of the day, well ahead of the cruise ship crowds). He waited until we were done and then drove 4 of us to The Boatyard and another 2 back to the ship.

Entry to The Boatyard included the shuttle back to the ship. Both Harrison's Cave and The Boatyard were wonderful! It was a great day!!

This is exactly what I'm trying to plan. How long does it take to do the tram tour at Harrison's Cave? Did you also have a good amount of time to spend at The Boatyard too?

  3. Hello,

I actually booked a private tour with Bernard. That way we can decided how long we want to stop at each place & only have our group to deal with. It's about $15.00 pp more than tour #2. We will be on tour the first full week in April.

Just thought I would throw that one out there....

    Happy Sailing.

    Sue

    Sue,

Can you tell me what you did on your private tour with Bernard? What places did you stop at? Which beach did you go to? We are a party of 7 and I'm very interested in having our own personal tour guide.

  4. We will be on Liberty 6/7 and was just starting to think about getting our own taxi or going through Carnival.

How was getting from SJU to the cruise port? Did you just get a taxi on your own or did you get Carnival transportation ahead of time? How long did it take? What was the cost?

Is there much to do right at the port in St. Kitts? I've been looking for things to do there, but nothing looks real interesting.

  5. I found a private tour operator who is going to take us to the caves, do an island tour, and then to Lobster Alive!

Wondering if you are back from your Barbados stop? I will be going via Carnival Liberty in June and a tour of the caves and beach sounds exactly what we are looking for. Who did you do the tour with?
