Do not forget that tipping culture is very different in various parts of the world.

In US when you ask for the bill. 18% service ha sbeen added and you are expexted to leave another 15% as a tip.

In Europe and Britain (I Know Britian is in Europe, but getting ready for Brexit), on a small bill we round up to the next pound / euro, for larger bill amounts.

So you see there are no right or wrong amounts to tip. It i swhat you are comfortable with.

In the US, if there has already been a gratuity added (18%-20%), you most certainly aren't expected to tip over that. The confusion lies where some establishments make it difficult to see that a gratuity has already been added.  Just wanted to clarify that.

  2. Thinking of trying MSC for the first time. These drink packages are confusing to me.

What brands of rum and gin are included in the Easy (under $12) package?  Bacardi Silver? Bombay Sapphire?

I saw the Premium menu posted above. That is the Premium Plus menu, correct?

    Thanks for your help!

  3. Saw this on another site. Can anybody confirm? Del Rio may be losing his mind.

  4. We just got back from NOLA. Stayed a couple extra days. We did the Hop On - Hop Off Bus Tour (Google it). It was excellent!

If you just stayed on the bus, the whole route takes about 2 hours. There's a bus at each stop about every half hour if you did want to get off at one of the stops.

It's a double-decker bus. The top level is open, half shaded with a canopy. You can get on at any stop and pay for your ticket inside the bus.

  5. We stayed there twice. It's a lovely hotel, convenient to everything, but we have no trouble walking. Walked to the French Quarter (Bourbon St.) easily. Canal Street is just about a half block to the right.

Some of the rooms have the historic brick walls. Would definitely recommend it.
