I'm coming in by train from southern NSW and was to get off at the Quay, so now how do I get to White bay and what is the aprox cost? I'm just a bit confused as I'm not familiar with the transport arrangements. Thanks for any help.
PS the ferry coming to and fro from White bay would be a good move if we could get that to the other terminal, just a thought.

This whole issue is out of Celebrity's hands. It has been forced upon them at short notice by the Ports Corporation. Shuttle buses are probably not an option for Celebrity because vehicle access to the terminal will be restricted.
However seeing as they are using ferries to shuttle passengers from White Bay to the ship I can't see why they wouldn't use those same ferries to take passengers to White Bay if required.
Yep, it's a mess.
Good point the ferry over to white bay seems logical to me as well, maybe commonsense will prevail :)

Our last cruise was our first as diamonds and we meet many nice people in the diamond lounge a few of them had 140 points or more and did not know about the block, after some discussion with them they went and saw the C&A ambassador and received their in their cabin the next day. It seems that some C&A ambassadors do a great job in keeping up to date with the loyal cruisers and others just miss the mark, I know we all get busy and miss things but come on 210 points and no block, it seems a bit rude to me. Royal should be Loyal.

Yes they do weigh your carry on and make sure that the measurement of your carry on are to their standard and size. If unsure check out qantas.com

Got diamond pins twice so made cuff links out of them :)

How long does it take roughly from the wharf to the airport. We have done it once on the bus which we found very easy, but we can't remember how long it took us.
I remember we took a taxi in from the airport as we didn't know where our apartment would be exactly, and his driving in a fairly old car (it seemed old anyhow, or just well worn) was a bit scary. The bus felt safer. I know the taxi to the casino was very good value compared to walking up that hill!
Try this it's a link to the public transport site.

No you do not need to disembark with all your luggage.
If you are staying in the same cabin for both legs, then you need do nothing. Each ship has different rules for B2B cruisers. When we did B2B around Australia, we disembarked at our leisure and toured Fremantle/Perth on our own. When we returned to the ship, we just re-entered through the crew entrance, 'dinging' on of course.
If you are changing cabins, your stateroom attendants will move your gear for you. I think you may have to pack the drawers etc. but the wardrobe gear is just carried from what I understand.
Forgot to mention that we got our new cruise cards on the last night - they were left in our cabins with the Cruise Compass.
Hope this is of some help.
Yes it was a great help especially about the new cruise cards, if it has changed I will let this thread know :)

No your luggage can stay on board.
The 2 best people to talk are your room attendants. They will organise your luggage. I always go to my new room area on a sea day on the first cruise and talk the guy/lady looking after my room on my next cruise.
Thanks for your reply :)

I'm doing a B2B on the Radiance on 19 Jan 14 and 27 Jan 14. When the first part finishes do I have to disembark with all my luggage and board again. We are Australians leaving and arriving in Sydney and not going to any other country outside Australia.
Any good advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Just loved the cannon going off at Newcastle and hearing the car alarms going off as well, it was a nice send off.

I agree that it's frustrating when you have to share the little can of drink, it just seems a bit cheap to me, it's not as if it costs them that much, and what is our loyalty worth for all of the angst they get, might be better off just giving us another voucher of some kind.
I thought it was a Member benefit not a cabin benefit. And yes I have read the T&Cs and that dose not mean that I have to agree with them.
Anyway that's my view :)

We're both Diamond, have only received one basket and one drink.
Yep same here, I don't understand why, they take the money off both of us, It's on as if one of us pays less for the cruise.
The DW gets the drink and I get the crumbs (Gift) :D but it is nice to receive.

It's very interesting that the news has gone very quite on this, normally CC would be on top of the story or someone on the ship would of commented by now.
Will be very interested to find out what the damage is.

We were delayed for an hour on our cruise on the 26th due to a medical emergency, we had to wait for the ambulance to evacuate the passenger.

Here's a question for you...................can you open the bottle in your cabin and then bring the bottle to the MDR?
Simple answer No, but you can take an unopen one but you will get a $25 corkage fee added to your account.

How do you ser up an alert for price change in a cabin category? Can it be done with all cruise lines?
If you Google cruise and fish that might help :)
-
Thanks for starting this thread up again, here's my two bobs worth.
It's a pity the other cruise lines only give the Military OBC and discounts to the US and Canadian Forces, what about the rest of us who served along side them?? I think it's about time the other defence personnel were recognized.

We should get all our money back but 50 percent future cruise credit to use in 1 year does not help. Only forces y to spend more money. Anyone get anything better from them?
In regard to the 12 month time frame that is required to take your cruise credit, keep the communication lines open as we did and got our credit extended to two years which was more manageable for us.

We had no paper and pen on the VOS in OZ in Feb this year had to find a pen to say thanks to the great staff that we had.
