  1. My daughters would like to get perhaps a half-head of the Caribbean style bead braids on our upcoming trip but would prefer not to waste excursion time doing it this year.

Years ago, they were able to get these braids on a Disney cruise out by the pool. I don't remember seeing anything like this on our past RCI cruises.

Does anyone know if this can be done in the FOS salon and how much they'd charge?

  2. For those suggesting corner balcony aft cabins paired with an inside cabin nearby. The system will not let me book a D1 or E1 balcony cabin for only two people. I have read on other threads that this is a new policy. Too bad:confused:

I'm not sure what to do. We were excited about the large balcony but did really like having two seperate rooms/bathrooms on our last cruise. Guess I'll leave it for now since these rooms are hard to get and see and watch for future promotions. Right now with BOGO being applied to 3rd and 4th passengers, this is the best deal if we want a balcony.

  3. Which would you choose in our situation on Freedom class ship? For a family with two girls ages 12 and 16:

Two connecting promenade view rooms or room 1400 D1 aft with extra large balcany about the size of a Jr Suite.

Balcony room is $250 more. Biggest drawbacks are one bathroom and no separate privacy or space from the girls. However, we've never had a balcony and this seems like a great opportunity to try!?

  4. I was on this same sailing and unfortunately did not witness deck patrol clearing chairs except to pick up towels in the early evening. We saw tons of chair reserving that was not enforced. We usually sat in the H2O zone since it was easier to find a chair there (but not always). I like the 30 min flag warning! Hope that becomes new policy!

  5. We board FOS a week from today on Easter. The kids have already asked if the Easter Bunny will deliver to the stateroom! I'd like that as then I wouldn't have to worry about packing gifts to set out in hotel room that morning.

If I ordered one of Royal Caribbean gifts is there any way I could get them to put a note with it that says "from the Easter Bunny"?

I've looked into a couple outside companies that say they deliver baskets but shipping costs are high.

    Any other ideas?

  6. I've done a search but most threads are related to how early they can arrive at Port Canaveral. We will not be arriving at MCO until 7pm the night before and I went ahead and booked a night in Cocoa Beach so we could go to the beach the morning before we embark. We love the beach as we are land-locked Coloradoans and want to make the most of embarkation day being a beach day since we will only have two beach days on our cruise.

With that being said, how late can we arrive comfortably without being stressed about cutting it too close. We will have to return a rental car to budget and be shuttled to the port.

Thanks! We leave in 3 weeks! Can't wait!

  7. Just looked and one of the connecting rooms is still available? We're super happy for the upgrade so don't want to push our luck. My hubby is VERY protective of our girls and may not let them be separate even 2 doors down.

What would happen if I called after a couple weeks if that room was still available and asked if it was possible to get that room instead?

  8. We just booked 2 guarantee inside rooms on Monday for 4/20 on FOS. Super excited to see room assignments already and they are upgrades to promenade view with just 2 rooms between us!

    * So, do I have to fear this will change or is it final once posted to your reservation?

    * Also, we have 2 kiddos 9 and 13. Both our room assignments are connecting but not with each other. Is it allowed and PC to ask our neighbor once they arrive if they'd be willing to trade so we could share the connecting door with our own peeps?
