  1. Hi ~ This will be our first experience eating at Coastal and looking forward to trying it. We are trying to decide on the reservations since I am traveling with my 90+ year old mom.. That means early dining for sure! We have my time dining set for 5:45 every night. I am hoping we will like Coastal better. For those of you with experience, do we need to worry about making Coastal reservations or is it easy to just walk in at dinner time? I am wondering if I should give up our early my time dining times which can be hard to get later on. - We are a party of 3. Thank you.

  2. We were there in June. We were told by customer service that the shuttles run every 1/2 hour all 24 hours. Can't say if that true. We were specifically asking about 6 am but didn't wake up anyway. We waited about 45 minutes at about 10 am for 3 shuttles to fill up in front of us. Of course, everyone was on line at that time. The shuttles held about 14 people at a time. We have also been to Bermuda in May and just got on immediately. It's really easy.

The shuttles are really just individually owned minivans so it depends when they get through traffic and work. There's also the option of a taxi if you can't wait. I can't recall the price but it certainly wasn't a lot of money.

  3. Wow longest thread I've ever seen. I'll need some time and 3 drinks to read it all! Just throwing in my 2 cents in case Royal Caribbean is monitoring this thread.

DH and I went completely loyal to RC since becoming Diamond and are almost playing a game to get to D+ faster. We've even stepped up our cruising over land vacations. We've got our next 4 RC cruises booked now. Both the Concierge Lounge access and the reserved seating seemed to entice us. Now that the rules are changing, we are FREE to book Celebrity, Princess, HAL and others once again! There is no longer a reason to only book Royal Caribbean. Diamond+ does not seem to have a hold on us anymore..

Not sure if it is good or bad for us ..... but I think if other people feel this way it is bad for Royal Caribbean

  4. We have always sailed on small to mid-size ships but the OASIS experience looks like one not to be missed! As senior senior citizens, who knows how much longer we can cruise....right now, we're good to go!..just came back from a 15-days Baltic cruise in June. Have you or anyone else, have any input on this dilemma? Thanks....................

Not sure what you mean by dilemmas.. I traveled with my mother who is 90 years old and she had a great time. While it may seem that there is a lot of walking, if you take the neighborhood decks (especially central park) to get across the ship then you don't even notice. This is her 5th time on Oasis class and she enjoys the activities and shows.

We found the guests to be respectful of her age. Great for kids and senior seniors!
