Hello all - we will be on Beyond for the NYE sailing leaving next week. We have never been on a Celebrity ship before, and frankly their website sucks. I'm trying to locate any information on dress code for dinner. I believe I read slacks for men and no shorts. I want to confirm before my 16 year old son gets angry at me when we show up for dinner the first night and everyone is wearing shorts except him. For the record, I prefer a more formal dinner dress.

Thank you for this review. We will be on the ship for NYE. I have been trying to figure out how to book shows/entertainment in the evenings. Is it first come, first served? Or is there only the option to get tickets once you board?

I just talked to them, and they said it was an "orange" tender. They are now thinking it was the coast guard. So they are headed over to the coast guard to see what they can find out. I'll report back if they learn anything.

My parents are staying in Maalaea right now and said they watched one tender come ashore and then return, and now the ship is moving again. Perhaps an on board medical emergency/evac?

This thread is proof you can never please anyone. The DBH was unlike anything I've seen on a ship, I couldn't have been happier.

Also proof that any dissenting opinion will be called out. Sorry if you took my post in any way other than that which was intended. The cruise was amazing and we are already booking for a return trip. The DBH was a disappointment to me. Sorry that my opinion differs from yours.

I also think you meant that "you can never please everyone." Clearly, some posters are pleased. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother to post on these boards.

Also note - you can get Lagunitas A Little Sumpin' Sumpin' at nearly every bar on the ship. It is an extremely solid IPA and available all over the ship.

I don't see how you can really complain about the beer list for DBH I'm excited for my sailing in May to live there all week especially in comparison to the gem where there were 4 beers total on tap on the entire ship which is crazy

Maybe I wasn't clear enough. Yes, the selection is pretty good. Actually very good compared to many other ships. However, if you are going to advertise that you have a great selection and cater to the craft beer crowd, you will disappoint those who have that expectation. The only porters and stouts were Victory Storm King (bottle), Pop's Porter, and Left Hand Milk Stout (keg ran dry before the 3rd day). Belgian selection was good (Duvel and Chimay). Lots of IPAs, Pales, and Pilsners, but again most of these you can buy in any grocery store. I'm sure this beer bar hits the mark for many people. I just had my expectations too high, I guess.

Agree with the previous poster. Just came off on Saturday - list looks pretty much exactly the same. The reality is that this is a good idea, but the execution is not great. Most of the beers on the ship you can buy in just about any grocery store around the US. The Florida beers are decent if not great. Certainly an improvement over most cruise beers, but this bar was a bit of a disappointment to me.

Hello all - leaving in 2 weeks for an Alaskan cruise on the Wonder. We have heard that the dinner dress (first seating) prohibits tennis shoes, jeans, and shirts without a collar. Is this true? We are shopping for my 9 year-old son and I am curious how people dress for dinner.
