We cruised out of Tampa during Gasparilla no delay in departure it was neat you could see some of the happenings of the parade from the deck.

I'm not sure if I checked right but we will see what they say

I got a massage on our second cruise it was heaven even with a sunburn, they were offering a price I couldn't refuse one day when we were coming back from our shore excursion.

Liberty was our first cruise and our second and will be our 4th cruise for our 5th anniversary! You will love her she is a beautiful ship. :D

Be prepared to pay way too much for the candy.. note to self buy some gummy bears and jelly bellys for the cruise :)

We live in Illinois as well and we have opted to drive for our cruise in 2 weeks because of the prices of flying. For the 2 of us it would be almost $300 dollars more then driving. Bonus we get to see family after the cruise by driving. That $300 will buy a lot of drinks :p

I live just a few miles from O'hare and I go out of my way not to have to fly out of there. I choose to drive to Midway just to avoid O'hell.

I am glad I clicked on this post. My mother in law has Alzheimer's and lives with us, her other son is going to have her for the week we are gone on our cruise. We just would like to know that they can contact us if something should happen. Not that we would be able to do anything about it so far away but it would be better that we know.

We have brought bottles with us the last two times we have cruised. Usually if you are buying in one of the shops in port they will wrap them pretty well for you. we just put them in the middle of our suitcase with clothes all around without a problem.

This is why we have chosen to drive in 3 weeks for our cruise, no way would I want to miss the ship because of a cancelled flight or delayed flight. Good luck to you but if it was me my butt would already be in the car headed south.

We loved Butch he was the cruise director on Liberty the first time we sailed her, don't remember who the cruise director was the second time wasn't very memorable I guess.

As another poster stated you can use the cc of someone not on the cruise, when you print your cruise documents there is an authorization for there. They will also need a copy of the front and back of the id of the person who the cc belongs to. It tells you what you need to do on that form. :)

We will be on Paradise on the 25th it's good to hear such positive things about her.

This will be our 3rd cruise and the other 2 were on the Liberty. We decided to do a cruise out of Tampa for many reasons.

We love the Liberty it was our first cruise (for honeymoon) and our second cruise for our 1st anniversary.. we did both the east and west and had a wonderful time.

I just read your blog and I must say you made me cry, we ourselves have had "santa" visits but nothing that will compare to yours this year.

We are looking for parking outside of the actual port does anyone have any suggestions for a reliable park and ride close to port?

This is my dream cruise and while right now we have my mother in law living with us and she has alzheimer's so we can't plan anything like that, we will one day this my husband can be sure of lol

Off the subject of the cruise for a second.. it sounds weird but works put vicks on the bottom or your feet then put socks on it will stop the coughing within a half hour and help you sleep soundly.

Back on the cruise subject... This was our very first cruise almost 4yrs ago for our honeymoon, the Liberty is a part of our family though we are trying a new ship and port this year. Hope we have just as much fun on the Paradise!

I don't think we will be doing the garden as my husband won't want to drive when we are there. Too bad it looks lovely.

Has anyone ever been to the QE2 Botanical Garden on Grand Cayman? If you have was it easy to get to from the port? Looking at different things to do in Grand Cayman.
