Can anyone tell me the name of the small bar/restaurant that is on the beach on the non-electricity side of the island? It is not Mezcalitos, that is more party than the place I am thinking. We went there on a Carnival tour which included a stop at the ruins that are on Cozumel.

We have done this excursion in the past with 4 in our group. Holy cow this was the most fun excursion in any port we have done! We almost did it again at the last minute, but it was finally warm outside that day so I didn't want to be inside the cooking room.

We were sitting on our balcony while you were waiting to go on board. I too was surprised at how long the line was to get back on at that point.

Once we were called off the ship about 11:15, we flew through the customs line. Fortunately we never stood in a long line. We found a couple of places to hang out and then walked right off the ship when they called our group. Apparently they found whatever they were looking for by then. FLL airport wasn't crowded either, check in at Delta was smooth and it took us about 8 minutes to get through security. We made our 2:00 plane with 40 minutes to spare.

I agree the female singers voice was too high for me too. However, the dance troupe actually changed in the middle of our cruise and the 2nd female singer had a better voice.

Regarding the fish and chips. I thought the fish was awesome. I ate there 2 or 3 times.

How long did it take you to get off the ship when we docked in FLL? We were a full 2 hours longer than we should have been.
