Hi All,
Is there a change in price if pre-paying vs purchasing tours (Moreton island - dolphin feeding) while on board? Is dolphin feeding worth it?
Keen to find out any reviews of the 7212 and 7208 stateroom cabins.
Haven't cruised in a long time and welcome any tips!
We will be cruising with children (6yo - youngest)
One of the kids birthdays will be on the departure day, would it be possible to organise a cake in advance?
Thank you!

It is nice to go out at night. Hope the rain holds off.
Though info on Oceanweather shows it is going back out into rough weather again.
i think it might not be too bad
looks like 3 meters?
-
thanks all. and we have been asked to board the ship at 7pm instead of 4pm.. looks like will be 8pm departure.
Hope the seas are calmer now

http://www.bom.gov.au/australia/charts/viewer/index.shtml?type=sigWaveHgt&tz=AEDT&area=Au&model=WR&chartSubmit=Refresh+View so we might have a rocky night :)
Might help kids to go to sleep :)

what is the difference between primary and secondary swell? By looking at the map right now it is rough out there, however by the time we will be leaving tomorrow it wont be too bad and as you said max 4m swells. hoping for 2.5 - 3m
-
wow thanks for that... :(
-
Noooo!! Really? How can you tell?

Got an email from them today advising that they had to reduce the speed due to the weather and will only arrive tomorrow to Sydney at 9am instead of usual 6am...
I am thinking we might experience massive queues and delays boarding the ship?
-
Looks as lovely as in Sydney? :(
We are due to leave this week, wondering if we need to pack gumboots instead of swim suits.. :)

hi all!
from what i can see Carnival isnt offering anything good there?
https://www.carnival.com.au/shore-excursions
sightseeing, cultural show, fishing and a mud pool.... no trips to the islands! :(
-
Fijians love children, the kids will be treated like princes & princesses on any any shore activity you do. So if the kids are happy and being looked after you will ALL have a great time.
If it is available a trip to Savala Island (Oolala Cruise) is my recommendation but I have been there so many times I may be biased.
Enjoy Fiji
Thank you!
I just looked into it and looks like they depart Denerau at 10am... what if we are late due to tender or something?
-
Something a little left field - kids are young and won't remember the port trip - why not stay on the ship, spend the day on deck with them - especially if you both work - quality time with the kids, the cabin's no too far away if they need a sleep - food and drinks readily available. There won't be crowds as most people go ashore.
believe it or not, one of the kids remembered the train ride in Noumea 11 months later :)

Hello everyone!
We will be cruising to Fiji in March and would love to hear your ideas as to what we could do with our kids.
We will be visiting Denerau island (i guess we could catch a ferry to one of the islands? which one would be a good one and not too far on the ferry?) and Suva..
Would love to hear your suggestions!
-
Thanks for this!
I hope they will be able to make it into a different shape :) like a garbage truck :)
-
Thank you all so much!
Would you know if they would be able to decorate cake in umm unusual manner? like make it a garbage bin or garbage truck cake? :))
-
thanks for the review!
sux it took over 3 hrs to get to ur cabin

Hi Guys
We just booked a cruise with Carnival Legend, it will be over my son's 4th birthday. Are we able to order a custom cake made? Obviously for additional $$? Do they do anything special for kids birthdays?
Would you recommend to take 1 or 2 toys for him to open on the ship?
-
Thank you very much!
We play white noise for kids at night time.. so hopefully it will help with any noises coming from above! well praying :)
and hoping kids would be exhausted by the time they go to sleep.. :)
-
So I did call, and the only other cabin available is 8255... thoughts?
its at the back of the ship, below the serenity bar (adults only area i think?) but it is a standard cabin (8169 has and extended balcony).
I was told that pool is normally closed after 5-6pm and most likely they will be not much noise coming?
Thank you so much for helping!
-
wow.. thanks for your reply... :(
would it be worth contacting Carnival to see if they can change cabin? or waste of time?
-
thanks all!
got assigned one today! and 3 months left till cruise!
-
Hey guys,
Looks like we will be staying in 8169 with 2 kids under 4 years of age... wondering whether it is a noisy cabin and we will be able to hear everything that is going on upstairs?
Anyone stayed in that cabin? or any other experience
Thanks!

Is there anything else worth doing with children on the island?
