  1. we just got bumped up again (from 4b to 4C to 4D) because of price drops (first, because we changed dates (loss $50/person due to ES, but it worked itself out) then due to military status--for once, it worked in our favor). anyhoo, just wondering, because of its location, should we be concerned? it looks like it sits below the "universe main lounge" & "fun shops". also, how is movement? i don't think it'll bother me too much, but i'll still bring something to combat nausea, just in case.

  2. because our upcoming cruise (17 dec 10) is going to be my DHs first real "vacay" in quite some time, he doesn't want to be locked in some type of "schedule" in regards to planning out our excursions....do they tend to sell out prior or should we be able to book something once we're on board? we'll be on the 5-day stopping in freeport & nassau.

  3. I work in downtown Charleston and frequently go to Waterfront Park at lunch which is right by the cruise terminal. Since tomorrow is the inagural sailing I plan to go down just to check things out. Will pay close attention to the boarding procedures and the incline of the gangway. Everthing that I have read on this thread appears to be acurate though. All vehicles have to get into a long single file line to unload under a couple of tents and then shuttle to the terminal. And as best as i can remember the gangway is a pretty steep angle. Will post more details tomorrow.

can you post pix, if possible? :)

  4. Since there are not any sofa's in cabins on the Fantasy (unless in a suite) you will have a pullman.

I was in the room near you on my last cruise. 3 of us as well. We had the two twins at the bottom and only one of the bunks was pulled down. They will put the beds together with you if you like.

thank you! :) this has been very helpful. i've looked at the "blueprints" online and i wasn't exactly getting a warm fuzzy. don't get me wrong, i love my DS, BUT he's an "octopus" in the bed (if he manages to finagle his way into our room at night) LOL

  5. I just returned from my first cruise. Because of this thread, I packed an extension cord with several outlets on the end. That was so helpful! I never could have kept my camera batteries charged to film this video!:

I used it to charge my iphone, and play my bose sound dock. And since I couldn't get the outlet in the bathroom to work, I used it plenty for my blowdryer.

HAHAHAHA! good stuff! i will show this to DH...we still have yet to go on our first cruise (timing and such) and he loves the real song, "i'm on a boat."
