We used the gift card on our cruise last year, we waited until we boarded and used kiosks for our s&s card. No problem! 

This year we payed for cruise with aarp gift cards. The only difference in using was

we could get card emailed to us while this year they send plastic card by UPS which takes atleast a week to receive.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn which is next door. The neighborhood is fine. We flew in late the night before our cruise (to save a vacation day) & used the free airport shuttle.

We are staying at Hampton Inn in October was it ok? Did you eat anywhere close?

Thank you so much for your review! We have been on several cruises but not on Freedom. We are booked in October 2018 for my husbands 60th Bday. I am such a picky eater we have rarely eaten in main dinning room but after looking at all the menus we have decided to try every night. Thanks again.

Carnival website says you can bring 12 pack each of soft drinks and bottle each of wine.

We are flying into Hobby in October and taking a shuttle to the port. Anyone have an idea where we can purchase 12 pack to take on ship?
