About how long has it taken for you to receive a refund from your onboard account after a cruise?

Did have to do anything to get the process started?

We are sailing on Iceland Pro Cruises.Ocean Diamond in September. This will be our third time to Iceland and we are looking forward to the trip. We arrive early the day before sailing and cannot check in to hotel until after 3pm. Any suggestions for how to spend that time.

Hubby and I are considering a cruise to Iceland in 2019. One of his "bucket list" items is to see the Northern Lights. Will these be visible from ports in Iceland or should we focus more on going as far north in Norway as possible to see them.

We will be sailing on IcelandPro's Ocean Diamond Sept 2019. I think we will be too early for the light show but October would be ideal.

It won't work. So many lights on a ship and in the port area, you won't see the northern lights with all that interference unless it's a ridiculously strong showing

we saw the Northern Lights twice from a ship. Once in Alaska and once moving from Iceland to Greenland.

 

What is the best way to get from the cruise ship to the HoHo stop at Suntec .

What is the best way to get from the cruise ship to the HoHo stop at Suntec City? We will be on a turn around day and what I read says we will need to exchange our tickets at Suntec City before taking the tour

Singapore is a fabulous city and very tourist friendly. I always reccomend the hop on hop off bus for people the first time they visit. It starts at Suntec City. There are two routes the buses take (for the price of one ticket) one through the heritage areas of Singapore , and the other through the city area. It has a running commentary which you listen to through supplied headphones ( you get to keep them) and a map of the route you're taking and where each stop is. I always do a complete circuit first, then stay on and revisit those places which looked interesting.

I believe you can get foodie tours from locals that will take you to out of the way, local eating places, which I will definetly be looking at next time I visit.

Singapore MRT has one of the best public transport systems in the world, cheap, clean and safe, which will get you to most tourist areas within the city.

What is the best way to get from the cruise ship to the HoHo stop at Suntec City?

I am hoping to be fly out the day we dock in Dover. How quickly did the debarkation go? Do you think we could make a 1:00 pm flight?

From all the great posts that i have read, we will be getting a golf cart from nathan to see some of the island, then stop by jacks shack for a few cold drinks. Pick up a bottle or two of Bambarra rum and back to the boat.

 

Can't wait till 11 sep leaving on carnival fantasy our of charlston, sc.

I am on The Grand Princess on the Dec 6 sailing and the Carnival Fantasy out of Charleston on the Oct 25 and 30 sailings. Cruising really is a small world!
