  1. We fly into Houston a day ahead (coming from Canada) and rent a car, driving to Galveston and staying overnight. We then park at EZ Cruise Parking, which is a couple of blocks from the port. They do have a free shuttle between the lot and the pier and we have never waited more than 20 minutes for the shuttle once off the ship. Then back to Houston and drop off the car.

Because it's about 60 miles from airport to port, and a pretty easy freeway drive, we prefer the cost of the rental and parking.

  2. I have never seen a new booking number created, even with a transfer into a group, but several posters have said that transferring their bookings to a Canadian TA has resulted in a new booking number. I don't know how long it has been since you worked for RCI, but their IT department and systems have deteriorated to the point of being a disgrace - more often than not, when I even make a simple cabin change on CP, something else changes that I don't see until the confirmation arrives. I almost always call in changes now because I will end up on the phone fixing something at some point, anyway.

I had my booking number change when I transferred it to my TA, changing my dining options and causing a real problem. It seems that the RCI agent I called when I booked using my NCC, had admittedly made the error and he had to cancel my booking and rebook me via my TA, thereby losing my early dining. I did get it back about 4 months later.

  3. Or is there one? Last time we cruised was on Celebrity, and I remember they had a page or two of N/A cocktails on at least the pool bar menu. I know that virgin frozen things are obvious, but are there other options we can try under the Royal Replenishment package?

The second poster in this thread has a link to a pretty good drink menu for RCL

  4. In February, we hired a driver based on previous reviews as we had never been to Cozumel. Javier was waiting for us at 9:30am and took us on a great tour of San Miguel, explaining the history and current economic/social conditions on the island. He asked us if we were interested in any tours and we headed off to the ruins for a bit. He then took us to see the rugged beauty of the east side with stops at some bars that happened along our path;) The views were breathtaking!

Great idea for for first timers to orient yourself. We now have "must-visit" places for our next visit!

  5. What category are the Aft Balconies? Specifically on the Navigator of the Seas?

Regular aft balconies are mostly D1 or E1. Love the aft, especially Deck 10!:D

We just booked 1700 on the Indy for 2015. Very excited but a little worried about how much sun we'll get there with the Wind Jammer overhang. Anyone have any thoughts about the deck ten afts and how the WindJammer overhang affects them?

    Thanks

On the Voyager class, there is no overhang from the Windjammer, so deck 10 gets quite a bit of sun, but no real wind.
