  1. I have a CN expiring in Aug 2020.  It was orginally applied to a June cruise that was cancelled.  Everytime I call NCl I get a different reponse as to how I can use it.  What I wanted was to have the expiry date extended - they will not do this.  The person I talked with today said I have to book by the Aug 2020 expiry date, and  complete the sail by Aug 2021 (maybe with an extension to Sept 2021).  I told her that I read that others cruisers (as stated in the above chat) were able to have their CN applied to cruises much farther than one year past the expiry date. She told me that there's no way that NCL would extend for anyone more than one year past the expiry date.

Agents that I talked to in previous conversations said that I could book something as far out as possible, and then move the reservation to closer date, to a cruise I actually may want to take.  Conflicting infomation between the agents.  Can't wait to here what the next agent tells me!

I just wanted to share my experience with my latest CN certificate.

  2. Has anyone gotten married on a cruise leaving from Alaska? Leaning towards taking a Princess cruise, as we have done this route before and want our guest to experience Glacier Bay.

Did you get married on embarkation day, in a port or on a sea day? Which ship? What country was the marriage registered in?

We want to be married on embarkation day (for those guest not sailing with us) or a sea day by the captain. (obviously non sailing guests are not an issue on a sea day!)

I did post this message in the honeymoon/wedding section of these boards as well.

Any tips would be helpful. Thanks

  4. I have sent an email to Carnival to get their advice. Unfortunately, they probably deal with this on a regular basis.

There is no TA involved. All credit cards have been cancelled. I'm sure with a copy of the death certificate, they will be able to send a refund - a check should be able to be deposited into the estate account.
