1. I don't think so. I had a friend who sailed in one and was upset with the size of the balcony but enjoyed the room. He had sailed in another S1 aft on Silly prior.

Thank you for responding. I am pretty sure if we had not known how small that balcony is and then got to the cabin, we would have been upset as well. We love the aft as well as the corner S1 cabins and that one is the only one available and trying to decide if we want to stay on deck 6 aft or move to deck 12 midship.

  2. Does anyone know if the S1 Reflection cabins 6306 and 6307, which are the corner aft cabins on deck 6, are smaller that the S1 corner aft cabins on deck 7 thru 12.

We do know these balconies are the worst of all S1 cabins on this ship, but would like to know if the cabins itself are smaller as well.

  3. Guess they will suggest people use "extend your stay" if they want the cabin for longer (in Europe anyway)!

I bet you are on to something.

At $39 per person, I am just going to suck it up and book it, so that my D day on our April TA will be a lot more relaxed, since we will be able to stay on board till we can check in at our hotel in Rome, not having to fight the crowds etc etc

I am sure I would not be the only one to start thinking that way.

  4. Can anyone tell me pros and cons of Aft cabin 1216 on Reflection? Doing TA in October. Thanks

I hope you enjoyed your trip. Can you tell me what you thought of cabin 1216 if you ended up staying in that one and was the bed near the veranda or the bathroom?

  5.
Another good one, with pictures of the systems.

I've seen someplace in investor related information, the cost of this project but can not find it anywhere...anyone else know where it is?

Carnival is spending $400 million on its 70 ships to install the systems.

I swore it was in a 10K or 10Q, but haven't been able to find reference to it.
Thank you for posting the links to the work currently being done on Eclipse, I personally am excited that these upgrades are being done and this knowledge will make any potential inconvenience during our Eclipse cruise in November a little easier to deal with.

  6. I was booked on the Dubai to Rome cruise but had already changed it to another sailing.

I am still booked on the four sailings before it.

What I don't understand is why they did not just cancel the two last cruises leaving the ship in Singapore (which is where it ends up a month later).

From what I can glean the ship is returning from Dubai to Singapore but Celebrity passengers are not allowed? The announcement I saw said all passengers must either cancel or rebook to a different cruise. Why not let those who are already booked stay on and go back to Singapore if they so desire?

The April 5th cruise on Century from Dubai back to Singapore is one of the options offered to us affected by this change.

  7. Same here .....dumb-founded and blind sided! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

    Add us to that list.

We will probably end up canceling our B2B and end up having this fiasco cost us money, since there is no mention about those of us that have booked flights to Singapore for the B2B will get any compensation.

This will be the second time that decisions made by Celebrity will cost us money.

I guess, I should learn my lesson.

    Thanks Celebrity

  8. Thanks Astrid.

Other than suffering from Cruise Withdrawal Syndrome after a great Infinity cruise, including stops in Mexico, life is great.

I have never met Robert Wheatley, the CD. Were you able to form an opinion during your cruise?

We really did not spend enough time around him to form an opinion, it was just a short cruise and we just went to one of the shows.

  10. I would try to get to a lower deck as well, the overhangs are very large.
