We went to starfish point, basically a small, natural beach (nothing like the large beaches you would see in Miami) with very shallow water and access to see and touch star fish! It was beautiful and a nice way to see sea life without having to be a strong swimmer. We went there by boat and I think it’s also accessible via car, but I bet it would be a long car ride.

That sounds nice - thanks!!  But looking for something close to port/taxi or shuttle ride......We haven't been to Grand Cayman in years and are so sad about what we are reading about the beaches.....

Yes, we did stop at Grand Cayman. The tendering process was easy but I suspect that was because we booked an excursion with Celebrity. Those who had booked excursions got to bored the tender first. If not booked with an excursion, passengers must get a tender ticket and then take the tender as their ticket is called.  In case it helpful, the tender ride to Grand Cayman was much shorter than to Belize.

How were the beaches on Grand Cayman?  I am reading there are so many that have eroded away...we are thinking of just heading to a beach while there - do you have any suggestions as to where to go?

  3. Just looking for suggestions from those of you that have BEEN to Grand Cayman recently (as in Jan/Feb or so far in March) regarding a beach you would recommend since 7 Mile is really so eroded now and many buildings under (re)construction.....looking for a nice beach area with chair/umbrella rental and restaurant/bars as well.....doesn't have to have snorkeling.  Best transportation to and from as well....there does not appear to be a beach day excursion by itself offered by Celebrity.....

    Thank you!  😁

Not sure what's going on.  We have done the photo package before and always priced about $129

For April 15th  -   This is what's in cruise Planner.    NO THANKS

For the April 22nd and May 15 cruises it's not even available. They only offer Private Studio Session.

That is what I saw......$419.99 - no thanks!!

From what I can tell when looking at cruise Planner for an April cruise compared to a year ago, and some of the comments I've read, photos have been cutback.  We take a lot of photos, but had looked forward to taking a break if there were a number of candids, etc   One recent report made mention that in their cruise it was just a green screen and maybe some of the composed picture opportunities.  Sounded as if there wouldn't be enough for an album.  Someone may have a more specific answer, and there's a thread on the Apex's current sailing.

Hmmm interesting!  Thanks for your input!

  6. Does Apex offer a Photobook (by itself) for purchase?  We noticed it under Photo but in a combination package, not the book alone.

This is our first Celebrity Cruise and we like to purchase the photobook on RCCL, so wondering if they have the same option....

    Thank you! 🙂

Attached to this post is the cabana menu.  The menu is the same for Apex except you are given the option of Kettle One rather than the Grey Goose.  The bottle is a 1L.  Food and drinks look all the same from what I recall.

You'll read that all soft drinks (soda, water, tea, etc.) is unlimited and included.  Order as many as you'd like.  Also, you can pick 6 beers from the menu (any price point) and that's included.  I only remember 2 bottles of Evian water, but I may have not noticed that the menu says 6.  This may have changed though.  You can bring whatever you don't drink back to your cabin.

The reservation and service is from 9-5 and the food menu is available from 11:30 to around 2 as I recall.

The inclusions and quantities are the same whether you're renting a full or half cabana.

Thank you SO much!  This is the info we were looking for!! 😎

  8. Wondering about these as well.....so you get for the $150....a full bottle of liquor, a food menu to order from (and lots of pillows LOL) - does it include sodas, tea, water etc..?  What are the hours of the rental?

    Thanks!! 😎

South Floridian here - hoping the forecasters are not correct (as they often are not) and doesn't develop much.......sailing out of Port Canaveral for the first time on Friday for a quick weekender....hoping we will be north of most of it and we can move around it but any day on a ship on vacation is better than a day not on vacation!  Positive vibes!! 😊

  10. If you purchased the internet package for 1 device, how do you log on once on the ship? Or do you need to see one people at one of the kiosks for internet/voom ?  (my husband had to check in at one of the kiosks on Odyssey in March, but he was charging that to a different cc than the one we were using since it was for work).....

    Thanks!

Appreciate the heads up - Better?
