Sitka is a great place to see gray whales in May and June.

I HIGHLY recommend Gallant Adventures. We've gone out with Paul several times now and each time was both different and amazing. I don't see how any other outfit can be better. You will see unbelievable wildlife up-close and personal and have a great time while doing it! Every trip with Gallant Adventures has been the highlight of each our Alaskan vacations.

Sitka is our favorite port! This is a blessing in disguise. Having done both, I'd say without a doubt that a small boat tour in Sitka is much more fun that the train in Skagway. Plus the town is so much more charming. I recommend going to see the totem poles at the Sitka National Historical Park and a marine wildlife tour with Gallant Adventures.

Hawaii Volcano's National Park is pretty amazing. Snorkelling in Kealakekua Bay is also great (both deep and shallow water...you choose). Mauna Kea is cool too!
