We feel Bonine is the best. And it doesn’t make you sleepy like Dramamine. CVS or any over the counter pharmacy.

Meclizine is the generic name for Bonine and a fraction of the cost. If not on the pharmacy shelf, ask for it at the counter. I won't travel without it.

I'm very prone to motion sickness so I start taking it before my flight and daily throughout the cruise. Despite rough seas on the Pacific, Atlantic, and Tasman Sea, the only time I've gotten seasick was in the Panama Canal! That was due to watching the shoreline go by, not due to rough water.

Re seasickness ..... I can get sick standing on a dock.  I take one chewable generic bonine (25 mg meclizine) every day when cruising and whenever I need to ride in the back seat or a car or travel on twisty roads.  It works wonderfully for me, I don't get sick and can still drink 🙂.

Me, too. I start taking meclizine before getting on the ship and take it throughout the cruise. Despite rough weather on several cruises, the only time I got motion sickness was while transiting the Panama Canal.  My malaise was not caused by waves, but rather by the shoreline.  Meclizine/Bonine does not cause drowsiness.
