Left from SXM on Saturday afternoon...though the line was long to get through security, we were completely  through in 45 minutes and our travel companions who had to navigate the AA counter crowd to check bags only took an hour...crowded upstairs but plenty of seats  if you searched...

The real mess was at the gate and our fellow returning US vacationers “patiently“ (note my rolling eyes 🙄) waiting for their JetBlue boarding group to be called...

this mess I don’t blame on SXM or the airport...I blame the parents of these folks who didn’t teach them listening skills, patience, or courtesy 

Just got back from a fabulous first Windsurf adventure in/out of St Maarten. It was very obvious to me how the crew utilized the sanitizer stations as they went through every doorway...they also refused to shake hands, instead utilizing a fist bump 👊 which became a fun ritual with crew members 😎...there were many reminders throughout the cruise for precautionary measures...I personally never felt threatened by this outbreak in this environment and had a special, beautiful, relaxing vacation!

Just got home from our Windsurf trip...we were in cabin 245, which we found to be perfect! Once you get the “lay of the land” on board you will find this cabin conveniently across from a central staircase to go up and down between all decks, and convenient for daily disembarking and the water sports deck on deck 2...our friends were in 222, and their only complaint was the morning noise from setting up the disembarking platform outside their window

Pebbles, I feel your excitement...we have the same cruise history and we leave tonight for SXM...will be on the Windsurf on Saturday...this is a bucket list trip for my Dear Wife😎🌴🍹

We are really easy going, and our only other cruise experience is Carnival, so I am sure we will enjoy this experience 😎🌴🍹

Yes, cross country Caribbean adventures are just that...For the first time ever (due to the flight schedules vs days we wanted to travel) I booked us on all one way trips with different carriers and actually saved $$ in addition to getting there and back on "our" schedule...Red eye out of LAX to MIA, 3 hr layover then MIA to SXM...return SXM to Fort Lauderdale and overnight, then home the next day...kept all of the flights on the southern part of the country due to the time of year...

Another newbie question...do we have to make a reservation to eat at Candles? I understand the idea of giving everyone a chance, but is it possible to find a time multiple nights to get a table outside?

Chipshot, I couldn’t agree more...in fact asked for that on my call with them...the gentleman said it was in the email... I said it wasn’t, and he said he would research that and email back either way...we shall see

We are on the Windsurf out of SXM on 2/29...I called Windstar yesterday with the “what if” scenario and they told me that if we were denied boarding because of this they would refund us in full...eases my mind a bit
