We found this guy at the port and boy am I glad we did! He took us on the most awesome tour of the island and charged in our choice of euros or usd. The van was new and clean with air conditioning. We stopped at Balata Cathedral (Sacre-Coeur de Balata), several points in the rain forest, Distillerie duPaz (and bought some souvenirs after a taste-test or 12), St. Pierre, Bellefontaine, etc. He was so informative and pointed out many of the lesser known landmarks. He offered to stop numerous times for photos or souvenirs. We didn't stop at the gardens though he says he typically does - we found him too late in the afternoon to fit it all in. We paid $35 euros or $40 per person.
Everyone gave him a HUGE tip (30%) because we enjoyed him and the tour so much. Our family will be back to STAY thanks to Alex.
