I too contacted my TA today to ask for a copy of the RCCL invoice and was advised that my cabin was one that had been chartered by the TA. I think they have block booked a number of cabins. The TA has chartered a plane and is arranging the transfers. The TA advised that they are offering the select package and prepaid gratuities as part of their package. In effect I have purchased a package from the TA and I have an ATOL certificate for it.

I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens when we get on board...........

I am on the August 21 sailing too and can't book entertainment either.

We always travel with both just to cover all angles. You might want to check your travel insurance because some insurers insist that you have one and many waive the excess if you have one. It is not valid on a cruise ship but will be valid ashore. [emoji4]

I also live in Edinburgh and last year a couple of large ships tendered to Newhaven, Leith.

DH and I went down to Newhaven to see X reflection as we had sailed on it the previous year. ( It looked completely different in dreich Edinburgh compared to the blue of the Adriatic!).

There were lots of Bus reps at Newhaven to help passengers get on the correct bus into Edinburgh. As bigeck says a £4 day bus ticket lets you travel unlimited in Edinburgh all day.
