Agreed. But, first sign up for an IHG credit card. After you spend only $1,000 in the first three months, you get 60,000 points which you can use on any IHG hotel. No annual fee for the first year.
We're staying at the Intercontinental before our cruise in May, and it's only 30,000 points for one night. Saves us $320.
