  1. Typical dumbed down British TV for those with short attention spans and a lack of two brain cells to rub together.

Opportunity missed to show a professional company in a professional manner. Just looked like a reality show. The attention seeking passenger, the tyrant in the Spa, the efficient hotel manager and the entertainer who has to be loved. Pass me a sick bag!

Comedy gold though was Mrs Mushroom – losing her knickers in cyberspace. Can you send your smalls to the laundry via the internet connection? Now that is a first at sea!

After this the company sales line should not be “come back new” it should just be “come back”.

Slight exaggeration, it won’t alter my use of Princess as I know what it’s like in real life.

  2. My wife is interested to know if anyone has seen a link on Princess Cruises web sites which gives the hair salon prices ? We are travelling on Emerald Princess at end of May. Any info much appreciated.

  3. When we were on the Holy Land cruise a few years back there was a mortar attack in Ashod the day before we were due to arrive. By the time Princess informed us that the ship would not be docking they had already organised buses etc for the tours and we just had two days in Haifa and a longer journey to the places of interest in the Ashod area. On that trip there was also trouble on and off in Egypt but we were lucky and it had all calmed down by then. From my experience Princess will leave it as long as possible to make a decision in order to try and honour the original ports.

  4. Hi Alicomp,

You can get the train as mentioned above and there is also a bus (coach) service from Greenock that takes you to the heart of Glasgow. The bus will take slightly longer but may be cheaper. The railway station is right in the centre of Glasgow and the bus stops virtually right outside the station (just need to be careful on the way back as the pickup points are different on the way back).

The websites attached below are for Scotrail (trains) and McGills (buses).

The rail stations in Greenock are "Greenock West" and "Greenock Central". The port at Greenock in on Clarence Street/Patrick Street. Google map will help you choose. In Glasgow the main station is "Glasgow Central".

If you need any more details I am happy to help. I work in Glasgow and often visit Greenock to see the Princess liners arrive in Spring and depart in the Autumn.
