I bought a 4.5 carat Tanzanite and Diamond ring at Rays this last year. I "haggled" (which they expect) and got him down to $1,000. When I got home I took it into a jeweler here and was told the value was $4,000. They are great to deal with and good prices.

We too use Rays, have bought everytime we are in St Marten. Last year, we called and asked him to make us a certain charm. Site unseen, we trust him that much, we ordered and paid for it, and picked it up in October for a Christmas present.

We haven't been on the Grandeur since 2009. We know what she has and doesn't have. And she is one of the older ships. I know what to expect.

We were in cabin 7154. Great cabin, balcony was huge. 2 lounge chairs, big table with 4 chairs. And yes, you could hear music, bass , at night from the lounge below you. But it never bothered us to the point that we couldn't go to sleep. I'd book the room again. Enjoy.

I have stayed in a deck 7 balcony on Radiance and the balconies you specified are, indeed, larger than a normal balcony. It was about twice as deep and had room for two loungers and two chaires. The only thing some people don't like is that the dividers that seperate your next door neighbors do not go all the way to the rail. There is about 2 feet or so where it is just a waist-high rail that seperates you from your neighbors. So, it is easy for someone to peer around the partition and see inside your cabin. However, that did not bother me at all and I really appreciated having the extra balcony space.

Good info here. Hope someone can help with 7034 on the Brilliance, I know about some noise from Deck 6, but my question "does this cabin along with 7014 thru 7044 have larger balconies". I've tried searching, nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

We stayed at the Springhill Suites last year, left our car for 12 nights. Do you think the Fairfield or Ramada Inn is better. We went thru trinity reservations. haven't made one for this year , but need to do it soon. NY Marathon is that weekend, and worried they might get booked. thanks

Well, some of you have been lucky. Just got off the Oct 27th Grandeur out of Baltimore. Had 4 suitcases. In one of them i had a bottle of wine, in another i had a bottle of Crown. Well we got 3 suitcases ( bottle of wine) delivered to our room in about one hour after boarding. Went to dinner, the show, then came back to the room, no suitcase. We went to the pursers desk, he smiled, said you have to go to the conference room, they must have found something in your suitcase. Along with about 100 other cruisers, we stood in line, found our suitcase, they made us open it, searched for bottles, they took it until the last night at sea. They go thru the xray machine. However, when talking to others that this happened, they did the same as we did, kept it in different suitcases, pulled one and not the other. Just be aware they are scanning the suitcases.
