I'm also very interested in signing up for the Peggy's Cove and Titanic excursion. My concern is the excursion leaves at 3 pm and is 3 hrs 45 min. long. That puts us back at the ship at 6:45 and the ship is scheduled to depart at 7 pm. Why is this excursion scheduled so tight?

I'll be watching this thread as well. We are driving to Baltimore from Michigan Saturday for Sunday's cruise on the Pride. Looks like it will be a rocky cruise at the very least!
Hello leaderdogmom! I love your name and the leader dog! I live in PA just across the MD line 20 minutes from Baltimore. The good news is that the rain has stopped here. I'm sure that you will be fine on the Pride tomorrow although it may be a little rocky. I have been on the Pride numerous times and love her! Just a note to let you know that my husband 1st VDG of the New Freedom Lions Club, New Freedom, PA and I visited Leader Dogs for the Blind in August and just loved it. The center will be top notch and beautiful when completed. So bon voyage from this Lioness and our club's leader dog Dutch, a golden retriever.

I googled this cruise and didn't come up with anything about any groups being on it. What do you google exactly?

I swear by Bonine. Take one about two hours before sailing and then take one each day at about the same time, whether you need to or not. You shouldn't have any problem. I have cruised through several storms. The fog, like a white-out is what bothers me the most. That is scary.

I have cruised on the Pride three times. Twice in January and once in February. You will have 1 day of colder temps but once you are down around the Carolinas it will warm up. Just once we hit a cold spell in Nassau and Port Canaveral. It should be in the 70's-80's.

I have been on the Pride three times and have spent a lot of time on the serenity deck. I have never seen anyone other than adults on that deck. It is very peaceful back there. I have always been on the Pride during January and February. It can be crowded with adults.

If you are going to Port Canaveral and plan on going to Disney World, you probably should purchase the excursion ahead of time, as this excursion can sell out quickly.

I just love your pictures! It brings back wonderful memories of the cruise to Alaska that my hubby and I went on back in 2000. The glaciers and the whales looked just like that! ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY YOU MUST HAVE A BALCONY! You don't want to go to sleep! You are afraid that you are going to miss the scenery. It is daylight almost 24 hours a day. Take a sweatshirt, a heavy jacket. Dress in layers. You will be good for all temps.

I agree. Eliminate Freeport and add Key West.

Going on Grandeur Jan 16, 2016 and she is going to Key West

Hello fellow Lion member Sparks1093. Lion Kerry and Lioness Deb here from New Freedom, PA have been on the Pride 3 times and are so happy to see her back in Baltimore newly renovated with some great upgrades like Guy's Burger Joint. Go Pride!

Let's see, what does it say on my cruise countdown clock?

I protect my passport like it is gold. My passport goes with me when I leave the ship. If there is any reason whatsoever that I don't make it back on the ship I want to be able to prove I am an American citizen with no questions asked. I want to be able to fly home with no hassle.

If you want to verify the message, just give RCCL a call.

Which other ship has come down with gastro illness?

Thanks for your reply!

Private departure lounge with continental breakfast. As this is one of the crown and anchor benefits, do they provide this in Baltimore?

I reserved a Panorama Ocean View on Deck 8 for Jan 2016 on the Grandeur. I believe they are now sold out. I read the same reviews as you did and decided to go with deck 8.

I would pick itinerary #1. All three of these ports are nice.

I have cruised on different lines as you can read below. The cruises on all of them were very enjoyable. I would have to say that the itinerary is more important than the ship itself. I enjoy going to the US ports where you can go where you want without having to be hassled like in Nassau and Freeport. I have been to almost all of the Caribbean islands and loved seeing all of them, but really loved Alaska, Charleston, Port Canaveral, Key West and the cruise lines private islands.

My DH and I have booked Jan 2016 on the Grandeur also. We have been on numerous cruises during Jan and Feb out of Baltimore and have never encountered snow on the ship.

This is a great itinerary. I have been on the Pride numerous times and am tired of Nassau and Freeport over and over again. I love going to Key West, Port Canaveral and CoCoCay where you can walk anywhere and not be afraid or hassled by the locals. Treat yourself to a change of scenery and go on the Grandeur. I just booked her today. Key West, yes!

I always book a cruise out of Baltimore to sail in January, although last year I booked a February cruise thinking the Pride would be back from refurb. Then they changed the date of dry dock! Right now I see the best rate for an extended balcony is the Jan 10th cruise.

Thanks for the advice! I never gave that possibility a thought. Have been on cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska, but this is the first one to New England/Canada and the first cruise during hurricane season. Leaving Oct 11th, so taking some warm weather clothing just may be the smart thing to do!
