I downloaded the latest IOS 17 update on my iphone and ever since have been able to access My Silversea through Safari. Prior to the update I was unable to access My Silversea for over a week.

The ship sheltered in the strait between the two islands of Honshu and Hokkaido overnight and then headed south down Honshu for a bit. The Captain has just made his announcement. The ship is now sailing north again, on track to dock at Hakodate tomorrow at 7:00am.
What is the name of your Captain as we are joining the ship in Hong Kong?Â

Does anyone know who actually assigns GTY suites prior to sailing - is it SS Head Office in the USA or the passenger’s local SS city office - eg Sydney?

We're on the second segment and will look forward to your reports. Cheers from Sydney

What Singapore tour did you end up doing Stickman 1990 and how long was it? Interested as we have to fill in time after disembarking in October and before our departure from Singapore airport in the evening. Trust you enjoyed your cruise on the Muse.

Would be interested to know how long the complimentary tour of Singapore takes following disembarkation from the ship in Singapore and prior to airport drop off for an evening flight?

I was on the Singapore to Sydney sailing and whilst they claimed to have run out of Pommery, a barman told us we could order it through our butler and that's exactly what we did and bingo!!!

We have stayed at the Hotel Giraffe near Union Square and it was wonderful - highly recommend.

We have stayed at the Fairmont in Singapore many times (as well as other 5 star offerings) and really enjoyed the large size of the rooms and the location is excellent - opposite Raffles and great shopping and restaurants. Choose a Fairmont Gold room with Harbour view and you can't go wrong.Â

My husband and I are so happy to have a booking on this cruise and ship. We sailed on her 2 years ago and loved the experience so would be pleased to answer any questions from first timer Silversea cruisers.

Are you saying the suite and voyage you booked is the exact same price today as when you put your deposit down?
The exact same price and inclusions as when we put down our deposit.

My husband and I are now debating whether to cancel our SS cruise in February 2021 following the new SS promotion. We paid a substantial 25% deposit in February 2020 for an 18 day cruise. This week we saw the promotion of US$1,000 on board credit per suite plus reduced deposit for new bookings and when we requested if the OBC could also be passed on to us in good faith, we were denied - new bookings only. We think this is unfair given that new bookings are being given exactly the same deal that was given to us in February plus they receive additional promotional benefits. Also, if we decide to cancel the booking, and rebook, we would not be eligible for the promotional offers. Very disappointed SS.

Can anyone advise who the Captain and Cruise Director will be on this voyage?
Ruminations from the Silver Muse.

Have so enjoyed your updates for the entire journey. We left the Muse in Singapore, have settled back into normal routine here in Sydney but your almost daily ruminations made us feel like we were still on board - like you we enjoy our food. I very briefly said hello to you on board after trivia one day - we were on the 'Pearls of the Sea' team but didn't do as well as your team. We are rejoining the Muse again in 2024 from Brisbane to Sydney via NZ so looking forward to those 15 days. Have a great Christmas with your family in Japan.
