My wife and I just finished a Princess cruise fro Lima to BA and then continued to Iguazu for a 2 night/3day tour. We then flew to Rio for 2 days. I assume you may want to do this on your own, but if you are looking for a company to help you with the logistics I can recommend discoveruruguay.com. Diego Kraidelman was excellent. Yes, we paid a little more for his expertise and services, but he was exceptional. Imho check him out and make your decision.

We used Barcelonadaytours and they picked us up at the port, kept our luggage, took us all around the city and Montserrat and at the end of the day dropped us off at our hotel. They were wonderful. The next day we toured the city on our own.

Does anyone know what the status of Volunteer Point is this year? And what has the weather been like recently (in regards to rain/mud).

 

 

 

Last year access was closed in March due to lots of rain and the damage that could be caused by vehicles.

We were there on December 28th. It was a warm 23 degrees celcius, dry and not a cloudy in the sky. The peat bogs were dry. We travelled with Estancia and they were great. Vincent was our driver and he was excellent. Hope you have great weather too.

We did a 6 day Machu Pichuu tour through Princess. They used Lima Tours. They were fantastic. I suggest you contact Lima Tours directly.

That is so unfortunate, as this is one of our very favourite islands in the Caribbean. For those who are planning to travel to St Lucia we only tour with Frank's St Lucia Taxi and Tours. He was recommended by our travel agent a few years ago, and we have toured the island with him twice - no issues, no problems. In fact, he took us everywhere on the island and showed us how wonderful this place in paradise is. He is well known and well respected here.

Try APT tours. We used them when in Naples. They picked us up at the port and took us to Pompei ( guide included) Positano, Sorento and then back to the ship. You even had the option of taking the ferry back to Naples from Sorento if you wished. They were excellent. We had a van of 8.

We have visited St Lucia twice and are planning a third soon. Both times we toured with Franks Taxi&Tours St Lucia. We will do it again for sure. He is a wonderful man who loves his island and knows everyone. Frank will take you all over the island and show you everything you want to see. I'm sure he will sing to you too! Tell him Jenny and Tony from Ottawa say hi. He has a facebook page as well and we enjoy perusing it. You will love St Lucia.
