Hi Lusitanica - you're doing a tremendous service here :). Would you give me an external view of 10152 and what's below?

Lusitanica, I tired hard to figure out where our cabin was located based on the many responses you gave others. I finally gave up! It at first appeared we had a balcony on a bump out and then in another picture I figured I was crazy. We will be in cabin 14129. Can you help us out? And thanks a bunch what a lot of work this must be but I sure appreciate it. :D
Guys, I will be out for a while.
Happy cruising to everyone!
-
Thank you Lusitanica !!!
Why would you not recommend the Epic as my 1st cruise ??
As you are already booked, I wish you happy journey.
Generally speaking, for the 1st time cruiser it's better to start from a ship that offers the whole variety of cruising "pleasures".
It does not mean that the first time cruiser won't be happy with Epic.
On the contrary, the first timer is most likely to be among those happy.
But the 1st time cruiser may get a wrong impression of what cruising is because the whole cruising is not limited to what Epic offers.
Bon voyage!

thanks. this was the only CAT D4 deluxe HC cabin that would take 3 passengers. seems that ncl should not charge CAT D4 prices for an obstructed view.however i am happy the balcony is covered. again, thanks.
You are very welcome.
Guys, I will be out for a while.
Happy cruising to everyone!

You are really good with this!!! Can you show me staterm 13177?
Thanks for the help!

would you know about HC cabin 8186? lifeboat view, covered? noisy from below? thanks for your help.
8186 seems to be one of four best cabins on this ship (in terms of internal layout/equipment).
The view uotside is spoiled with lifeboats though.
The balcony is covered.
Below are the corridor that gives access to lifeboats and galley(?).
Rear staircases and elevators are conveniently close.

I hate to pile on but I am getting eye strain trying to find 9091? Looks covered with a life boat below? Thanks!
Exactly.

Now I'm curious....we are sailing THIS Saturday :D (8/28) and am wondering about our balcony cabin. It's cabin 10254. Anyone got the scoop on it?? Thanks in advance. :)
10254 overlooks open balconies and lifeboats.
The bed is by the entranca door.
-
11076 and 11073 ( mine and other couples... ).
11073
11076 is the same as 11075 but on portside
-
I already swapped once when I realised our cabin was above the bowling alley!
Have I done better with 8190?
Now it's above a sort of service area (galley?). It's hard to say how it affects you.
Half of the view outside is taken by lifeboats.
-
could someone also tell me if 8165 if uncovered?
8165 is covered.
Overlooks lifeboats.
-
That's great to hear! I'm in 12167 on the Nov. 6 sailing. Anything else you can tell me about this balcony?
A good location for this ship.
12167 is seen with open partitions.
-
Brand spanking new here...but loving all this information..... I can honestly say I'm a real newbie to this forum and cruises after a few hours of reading.... had no idea never been to a forum such as this and 1st cruise ever 11/30 - Epic...
Thanks to all !!!
I've looked through this thread and seen no mention to this room and was curious of the location balcony position etc...can anyone help ?? I've have looked at the NCL resources and there is no help for me anyhow to find this one....
Room # 11168
Thanks
brbo
I would not recommend Epic for "1st cruise ever".
11168 overlooks open balconies followed by rescue boat, cranes and other equipment.
No huge lifeboats directly below though.
-
Ok, 'everybody else is doing it'...what about 8047? I think uncovered over a life boat. Thanks!!! Hey, do you live on the Epic?!?!?!? :D
NCL gives contradictory info, but IMO 8047 is covered and located as shown.
Yes, it's complemented with a huge lifeboat.
-
Scratch the above numbers (11181 and 11152)...11185 is the cabin.
11185 overlooks lifeboats.
Note that the balcony is seen with the partition opened.
Normally 11185 would look as the balcony one deck below (which is 10197).
-
OK, I swore I wasnt going to bother you with locating our cabin ... but I caved. It is 14171 & I know it's on port side just before the spa but cant seem to find from outside. Many thanks
-
Cant beleive how good you are at this, any help locating or advise on 12308 please.:)
The very aft portside cabin with the bed next to the entrance door.
Overlooks open balconies below.
The balcony is sligtly larger than standard.
No lifeboats directly below.
50% of panoramic view is somewhat obstructed by the equipment hanging outside behind 12308 balcony.
-
Can you tell me where is 10116 and 9048 thanks so mcuh
-
The balcony's that .... have no cover, everyone above you is looking down at you, and you also get the cigar ash, toothpicks, french fries ,cereal,or whatever else people decide to drop on you.
-
I was in 8101 and had a wonderful view down to the water, wasn't over lifeboats at all...see http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Dcctd7cOUUJ0NCU0KR1NbA?feat=directlink
8101 has no roof.
-
Lusitanica, can you provide pics and your opinion of room 9102. Thanks so much!!
9102 happened to be in the same area.
It's close to lifeboats so they will take a big part of the view.
The bed in by the entrance door.
-
12082 does cabin have good view?
Is bed near balcony?
Thanks.
There are life boats below.
No open balconies below.
Good panoramic view.
The bed is by the balcony.
-
Ok, my Dad was able to switch his room from 11016 to 11317 which is an AFT balcony. Do you have any up-close views of the AFT cabins? Are the balconies any larger than the regular ones?
Thanks again!
This is 11317.
I cannot see anything that indicates increase in balcony size.
Looks like a standard balcony, maybe a few inches deeper.
The bed is by the entrance door.
-
14118. I would think if it is that this would be a wonderful room to have because of the great balcony. It's either an SD or M9 depending on pre/post May 2011.
I've checked other photos.
It seems to be a balcony of choice.

Bravo, brentp!
Amazing.
Another Epic bathroom.
Exposed toilets and showers in cabins were not enough for them.
They decided to make public restrooms literally public.
Awful.
