  1. InsGuy3…we regularly sail the O class ships in either 8143 or 9147.  The two suites are virtually identical.  One of the replies offered the higher the deck the size reduces.  True but bring your micrometer re finding differences 8 versus 9.  10 the size difference is certainly noticeable in comparison to 8/9 but still a wonderful accommodation.  All without any noise but that created via the wake.  Host Jazzbeau question not an issue.  11 deck a stairway connecting with 12.  We’ve never seen used in over 25 cruises.  7 access area to ship’s aft flag, security cameras, etc. when in 8143 never knew anyone was there.

We are also on this cruise.  I booked at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel.  It is right next door to the train station which I thought would be convenient.  I gave up on the roll call because the person who is organizing the meet and greet keeps posting the same statement over and over every time someone new joins the meet and greet.

And will continue to do so...

  4. For the video(s) see post 3. You will observe:

Deck 10 entry foyer/bar area smaller than 8/9. Bar by approximately 1/2. Built in cabinet space great reduced. Upright piano vs, 8/9 mini baby grand. Chaise lounge gone in 10. Bedroom and Living room not as deep to balcony in 10. Video shows placement of vanity table against closet wall on 10 versus window side 8/9. Same re dining area. One furniture piece/sideboard on 10. Two separate pieces in 8/9. Re 8 vs 9 differences virtually imperceptible even to someone as anal as I. Same applies O ship to ship.

All displayed in the referenced videos.

  5. When you used the piano, were they at least complete songs or just pieces of songs (like a sampler)? Were there enough that it wasn't like hearing the same music again and again? .

Might have been complete songs. Not a large selection re variety. Demo Repeats rather quickly imo. Gave up and used suite apple docking station and phone as music solution

  6. We'll be 9147 in sept...will report if any change....over a number of years I have charged Pritam, Sandeep, John, et. with get the chip a'la Marina. All to no avail. I've given up. It's the only thing those wonderful butlers have been unable to do. FYI Piano models are actually slightly different between the two ships.

  7. Unlike Marina, Riviera pianos do not have a chip expanding the song list. They have the preloaded manufacturer demo songs and that's it. As least as of this March. No cd capability. Can't offer on deck 10. Answered based on personal experience in 9147 and 8143.

  8. Catlover54....I looked at my cruise vacation guides from Mar 2016 and Sept 2011 as examples. Didn't retain anything older. Your cite re liquor, bond, right to retain, etc were in each of those documents. I have routinely brought case(s) of wine and one bottle of spirits aboard per cruise. There has never been an issue. We have averaged two cruises per year since 2010. Admittedly anecdotes are not policy but over the years neither on Cruise Critic p threads nor shipboard has there been a documented instance of consification. Adults acting as such equals a non event not only in our experience but those on many others. Pack and enjoy.

  9. Had one like instance some years ago not final payment related. System malfunctioned allowing reservations as you described. System was repaired and those bookings were deleted. Once system was mended normal booking rules were re established and maintained. O site in the US is currently down. Possibly related.
