  1. We have a 9:30 PM flight out of MIA and we disembark in FLL.  Any suggestions on what to do to kill the time for 2 adults and 1 child?  Thought about the cruise excursion to the Everglades, but that would still get us to the airport pretty early.  Are there any hotels that are available to use for the day to relax by the pool? Don't necessarily need a beach.  Thanks!

  2. I've actually stayed at both, mostly recently stayed at the Hilton on 2/17/19.  Stayed at the Crowne Plaza about 6 years ago.  If you're looking for a nice pool, restaurant and close to the water, then definitely the Hilton.  We enjoyed our stay there.  The Crown was ok, but I didn't think the location was that great, and the pool and views are nicer at the Hilton.  There is a shuttle to the cruise terminal that runs from the Hilton for $6 per person. It was very convenient.

  3. I was in Cococay on Friday and I would be very surprised if all of the new amenities, including the water park, are open in May.  Progress is very slow.  Pier was supposed to be done in December and it currently is about 60% complete.  Can't speak for the location of the beach beds, but we had some construction behind us and although a little distracting, it wasn't terrible.  The ocean was louder than the construction.

    I love Hilton marina

We're considering staying at the Hilton Marina for the first time in February for 1 night pre-cruise.  I've read some mixed reviews.  Have you stayed recently?  Is there a preference we should make for the location of our room?  I've read some rooms are dated.  Thanks!

  5. I was on the Empress of the Seas in February and they offered the drink card. It was a 5 night cruise and I think they offered it on the second to last day or the last day, I don't remember. We ended up not getting it after calculating the cost. Can't remember how much it was. Sorry this isn't that helpful, but RC has in fact offered it recently.

  6. I would also recommend the Intercontinental, but when we stayed there on a Friday night in January, they had live music at the bar that we could hear from our room several floors up. It didn't go too late and after a long day of traveling, we had no problem sleeping. It's in a great location (within walking distance to restaurants, shops, etc), they have a really nice pool, and super close to cruise port. We just took a cab.
