We have used SAS Transportation from hotel in Fort Lauderdale to the Port of Miami and also from Port of Miami to FLL Airport. You can make your reservation online. It's about $15 per person.
Thank you!!

Ask on the Florida departures forum - this has nothing to do with Carnival.
I am going on a Carnival cruise from Miami. Other people answered me, scroll on if you don’t want to answer me

I am shopping around for some quotes to get a private van for my group of 13 people. Any recommendations for a company I can contact? I have been searching on Google but was looking for someone’s personal recommendation.
Thank you!!

I doubt that you actually waited 5-10 minutes for an elevator to appear. In 25+ Carnival cruises, including several on Vista class ships, I have never waited that long for an elevator, not even during embarkation or debarkation. Now on embark and debark, it might have been already full when the doors opened, but it did show up in less than 5 minutes.
I honestly believe that it is at least partly a perception that the wait is longer on the Vista ships because there is nothing indicating what floor the elevators are currently on. When you can tell an elevator is on its way, you don't focus as much on the fact that it isn't there yet.
And even if it does take a little longer to get there, your actual time on the elevator is likely to be shorter, because you aren't stopping on as many floors.
I am happy you had a good experience on those types of elevators. Maybe Carnival is better but in the last ship I was on, yes sometimes I waited 10-15 minutes and they would show up packed because no followed the rules.

I don’t like them!! I understand how they are supposed to work but no one follows the rules. I was on the MSC Seaside last year and they were a disaster.

Once I book with a TA and get my confirmation from the TA. We have established my price . We also established my cabin number.
I am the type to pay it off the next day even a year and a half ahead .
So you are telling me that my price is not locked in? You are going to come back to me 3 months before sailing and say I owe more?
I can assure you that you will not get another nickel out me.
Thus I go back to my downgrade. I always understood fully paid passengers are protected .
If I am in error please correct me.
Another good thing about a TA is my Saudi Arabia cruise next month.
This cruise coming was a little disaster from the start.
Booked a 14 night, they changed embarkation port and sailing date on me and added 3 nights.
Changed flight's.
Next they added another night at the end and made it 18 nights so return hotel and flights messed up.
TAs issue

Most times we can get the cabin back but there are many times we can’t. Overall they are not an easy cruise line to work with. I am only going on a short cruise to try them out and see if all the customer service issues are worth it.
so yes it is worth booking with an agent for the reason as we deal with the MSC runaround but going back to my original point…..you are always pushing an agent rather than answering the posters question. They are not asking should I book with a TA or not. The person was talking about going for New Years

Because trying to deal with MSC direct has always been a disaster.
When you use a TA, your price is locked in, there is no chance it could change.
There have been many posts of people's prices changing for no reason.
Sending emails to existing reservations at MSC is a joke.
When you call they seem to reprice your cruise at current rates.
The agents for the most part make me wonder if they even have a GED. A rare few are great.
As you probably have read, I have had nothing but a gigantic cluster all the time.
I love the product, hate the CS and IT. So using a TA is once and done for me.
Trying to deal with them when they downgraded me from a Yacht club GS to a regular balcony on a lower deck for no reduction in fare and no access to YC was a disaster that I even hired an attorney to get involved.
By booking with a TA doesn't lock your price in. I am a TA and we have the same problems as people who book directly with MSC. I agree their phone staff is horrible.

Always use a travel agent.
I would be cautious of a New Year cruise. Tons of kids, long lines, and 110% capacity.
We just did a spring break cruise 2 weeks ago in yacht club and I probably won't do that again.
Go the next week and it will be allot less people.
Maybe they did use an agent, maybe they didn’t. Why do you post this all the time? I see you tell people this all the time. Your opinion is to use an agent, maybe people like to work directly with the cruise line.

No! Never call them. Have your TA do it. Nothing good happens when you call.
If they didn’t book with a travel agent, they would have to call MSC.

On the opposite of the ship is Bimini Beach. We love it there if you are looking for some waves and not many crowds. No really chairs or umbrellas there though
We ordered the umbrellas from MSC, can they be put on any beach on the island?
-
Did you try calling MSC to have them fix it?
-
We have never been to Ocean Cay. Which beach area is better for adults? We would like some waves in the water so is Sunset Beach or Lighthouse Bay better? I assume the lagoon is calm water. Where can we snorkel right off the beach? (not an excursion) Thank you!!

Are the kids under 21? If so, that is why the agent did this. Yes you can go to guest services and have them switch the names around. If they are both over 21 then I don’t know why the agent did this. You can ask your agent to fix it before you go, but as a travel agent, I can tell you MSC phone reps are not always great and they could mess up the reservations.

This will be my first MSC cruise and my first short cruise. Will there be a formal night? Dress code for dining room on a non-formal night, are slacks and a collared shirt ok? Some of my friends we are going with found online that jeans are not to be worn at night in public venues (bars, theater and casino) I have never heard that for any cruise line. (I can understand no jeans in the dining room) Is this true?
Thank you!!

As long as your Crown & Anchor number is in the reservation you should not have a problem
-
Yes, they do check every SeaPass card. Your best bet is to go to the "box office" as soon as you board and try to get reservations for the child. The box office location is usually somewhere on the Royal Promenade and will be noted in the boarding day flyer you will receve at check-in.
Thank you!!
-
I have reserved the shows when they came out. Now I added a child to my cabin. I see I can not get the same times as I have reserved. I have read a few posts on here saying that they don't really check what time you have reserved when they scan your card. Does anyone have experience with this? I don't want her to miss the shows.
Thanks!!

You don't need to download the app, you can iMessage for free without the app and without VOOM, until they fix the firewall.Thank you so much!! My luck they fix the firewall by the end of March

I found the Royal IQ app to be buggy. It often threw errors displaying my calendar or during the dining reservation process. There was at least one day during my voyage where Royal IQ just wouldn't work. Other days I could read the cruise compass but not make or view reservations.
But as others have pointed out, if you don't buy Voom, iMessage, push notifications, and the Apple News app will still work.
Royal IQ is a nice idea, but it's still half-baked.
So I would just have to download the Royal IQ app, not pay anything, then I can iMessage my husband?
-
I think there would more of a chance for it to come off their wrist. I will be getting my 9 year old a lanyard
-
You could all download the Royal IQ app and pay $7.95 per phone and message each other through the app. I don't know if you have iPhones but people have reported that they were able to iMessage once the downloaded the app. but I wouldn't count on that.
Is this per phone or per day?

I am booked in these connecting cabins and was wondering how the view was from the balcony. Does anyone have pictures from the balcony?
Thank you!!

Carnival Horizon - hairdryers in cabin?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
That is what I thought. It’s really only to dry my bangs.🤣 I usually let my hair air dry.
