  1. Interesting conversations. After reading all of the comments, I can see why Royal Caribbean has so many dining options. It would be impossible to keep everybody happy with limited options. We can all choose to be waited on while dressed formal, chose a variety of dishes at a buffet, go to specialty dining, choose a quick piece of pizza or deliver a meal to our rooms. Any way we choose, I appreciate not having to cook. Lol. We need to appreciate every day of life and be happy. Enjoy the cruise!

  2. This is a disaster! I can’t even log in. Tried resetting my password and it won’t work. My son can get in with a new password and he said it is a total disaster. He works with programming. Why would Royal Caribbean roll out a terrible web site? How many customers are they losing? Wow. I am so frustrated. I feel sorry for people trying to complete the set sail pass, buy excursions, buy drink packages and pay for cruises. Who thought this was a good idea? Sorry for venting. If this was my first time trying to sign up for a Royal Caribbean cruise I would be switching to a different cruise company.

  3. It was definitely...interesting LOL.

We used an ATM. We didn't want to pick up our Euros in the US because the exchange rates are poorer here and by using an ATM, we were able to withdraw as we needed Euros. This was particularly helpful because one, Euro coins are heavy and the bills are flimsy and we didn't want to carry more than we needed on us and two, we didn't want to take out more than we needed and then come home with Euros and exchange them again (which would, again, be at a poor rate that we'd lose more money on upon a second exchange).

My sister has a bank account that reimburses her for all ATM fees, so we were able to withdraw across every country we visited (and on the ship's ATM) without incurring additional fees. ATM's were everywhere, from the airport to the ship to the piers, so we never had any issue finding one where we needed one :)

Thank you. I have a couple of options to check on. I am from the old school. We did travelers checks for years. Ha... Your review is enjoyable and helpful. I hope you realize how much everybody appreciates it.

  4. JD26 I'm hijacking this... we love Europe as you can see from my profile pic of me and the hubby in Rome! We use to just exchange at the airport usually in Charlotte (that is where we normally fly from). However we found that we can order euro though our bank (wells fargo) at a way better rate! they have to order it in and it takes a few days we did it in increments of 500.00 so check with your local bank. Just a suggestion then your all set before you go! Have an amazing voyage!!!!!

Thank you for your help. I bank at Wells Fargo, so I am going to ask my banker.

  5. Sorry, another question popped into my head. What time do you think we can schedule a tour for the day we leave the ship? We are not flying back to Minnesota until Saturday, Oct 31st. We depart the ship on Friday, October 30th and we would like to do another Barcelona Day tour that day. It's so nice being able to ask you questions. Thanks again for all of your help.

  6. Its to bad that you are so frustrated with the food. I have not had a bad food experience on any of my Royal Caribbean cruises. But we are not fussy eaters and we go with the flow. I enjoy going to the WJ and dining room because I don't have to cook and for once I have somebody waiting on me. Ha I would suggest to not ruin your cruise and just enjoy the scenery and the ports of call. We have a balcony whenever we cruise, and we enjoy getting up early and watching the ship cruise into the ports. So we order room service and sit on the balcony enjoying life. What a wonderful way to start our day. Try to enjoy the positive things so your vacation isn't ruined. Life is so short. I hope the rest of your cruise is totally enjoyable. :):):):)

  7. Thanks so much for your help. I sometimes talk in code, sorry. Four of us are flying to San Juan on Friday January 25th so I need two rooms for Friday night and Saturday night. My son and daughter in law and another couple are flying in on Saturday January 26th and I need two rooms for Saturday night. A total of two rooms for friday night and four rooms for saturday night. We want to stay in the same hotel. I have never bid on rooms before so you have been so helpful to me. Thanks again. :o:o:o

  8. I am having so much fun reading the packing lists. Everybody has great ideas. A lot of these items I never would have thought of. I think the point of these lists are to get ideas from other people and make your own list. My husband has lists for his lists. ha. He needs lists to keep himself organized and so he can sleep at night. I envy a person who doesnt worry about forgetting something. I find that the better organized I am the more relaxed I am. Have fun cruising everyone. :):):):)
