Are there still separate sauna & steamrrooms in the locker area of Vision of the Seas ? Haven’t been on in 4-5 years and things keep changing ! 

Hey there, just 5hink8ng aloud and wanted to check a couple of things in relation to the drinks package so wanted to check out from you more seasoned travellers !

1} if there are two adults in a stateroom and one wishes to get the drinks package , is the other obliged to get a package of their own, even if they don’t wish to and are happy with the complementary/included drinks ?
 

2} if it’s an adult and a child Only in the stateroom and the adult wishes to have the  drinks package, is the child obliged to have a package ?

Suggest you visit the Ports of Call board here for Italy and ask for recommendations there. Hotels should be relatively reasonable as it is far from the high season for tourism. EM

Have never been to Venice before and although it wasn’t my intention to stay 2 days post-cruise, the November flight schedules have dictated otherwise which I hadn’t really budgeted for .

Travelling with DW and 3 children who will be 6, 4 &4 by then next Autumn and am concerned by the complexity of getting to/from the port to Venice airport.

As usual , RCIs flights and transfers are very expensive so was wondering if anyone had experience of booking a private transfer with a people carrier/MPV Family size taxi .

You definitely can ! I indicated on my Set Sail Documents I wished to have a cash account and it's viewable each day on your Tv or at Guest Services . I returned from a Western Med on Freedom 4 weeks ago.

Took the headstaggers today and have booked two interconnecting cabins for next Autumn on Rhapsody.

Think the extra bathroom will come in handy and then when we put the kids to bed at night, we can keep the door ajar and watch Tv, have wine & cheese etc

Just back from Western Med on Freedom and would love to take our 3 children (Age 3,3 &5) with us next year but everything looks astronomical In terms of price as we'd need two interconnecting cabins or one of the rare Family size cabins.

Would welcome any hints/tips as to how to cruise with our family without remortgaging the house .

Enjoy the ship as a floating resort so don't care about ports particularly and would be travelling from Ireland so I imagine it would be within Europe to keep things affordable.

Also doing this same cruise in June and one of the many great things about a cruise holiday is that it can be whatever you want it to be.

Have been to Rome several times so probably won't be getting off then and will just relax and enjoy the ship then. You can do as much or as little as you like, it's your holiday ! Enjoy [emoji41]

Will be in Naples on 9th June. Last time we were there we felt compelled to go see Pompeii but felt rather uneasy afterwards in the city so returned to the ship.

This time, I'm considering Capri (or am open to suggestions) and wondered how easy it might be for me to do that independently.

We arrive on RCI FOS at 7am on 7th June, and depart at 7am that evening .

I do see something about using that Citysighteeing company on here but now of course can't find it [emoji15]

Would probably do that type of hop-on/hop off tour if I got to Florence . No set agenda but would love to see some of the Uffizi Gallery if possible.

Very Comprehensive list of cocktails , perfect for enjoying during the sunny afternoons and will likely round off the evening with a few Gin and Tonics but thought I'd have been able to see somewhere which wines are available to enjoy by the glass on the drinks package and maybe get a few bottles for research purposes to sample while im still on land between now and then !

Having a few glasses with lunch is one of the things I'm looking forward to most !!

Haven't sailed on RCI in a couple of years and was wondering if they still have the Wine Packages as I couldn't see them on the RCI website as options .

After a bit of "googling", I see the new outlet mall is due to open at 2398 Cypress Gulch Dr, Lutz, FL 33559, United States. Google maps say that's 30.5 miles from the Westin where we plan to stay.

Anyone have any idea what the might cost in a minivan/taxi ?
