  1. I just cruised in 9694 on AOS's sister ship, Explorer in November. The RFS on both of these ships are exactly the same. The walk is significant, but to us we didn't care, we loved the RFS :D The space inside the cabin and especially the balcony was well worth any other inconvenience. There were only 2 of us in this suite for 9 days and it was fantastic :)

Thank you x....can't wait now !.....there are 5 of us but it will the first time we will have a bedroom to ourselves ....with kids or sister sharing the space !... they will have their own areas this time.

  2. Sorry...have never stayed in RFS but have stayed in the aft cabins. We don't think the walk is too long and I am mobility challenged. Might be different though after rough seas or too many beverages. Lol

Thank you...x.....I thought it quite funny when it was 'rocky boats ' on Serenade when after a few beverages we were zig zagging down the corridor to our cabin. .and no one could tell if it was the ship or the wine....lol

  3. Sorry if this has asked or answered before...but has anyone any experience of cabin 9694 the RFS on the aft.

We have this booked for 26th oct and was just wondering if anyone had stayed in an RFS and also is it really a vety long walk to lifts etc.

We had a corner aft on Serenade last October and it wasnt too long except late at night...lol

I know Adventure is a bigger ship but it is hard to judge from the deck plans.

    Thank you for any info

  4. Details have not been released on Adventure's dry dock. However, with regard to other ships in the same class, the CL has not been moved on Mariner (already updated), and the plans for Navigator do not show it being moved either.

Thank you ....on one hand it would be nice if it was moved to a higher deck with an outside deck but it will be handy for early morning lattes and late night hot chocolates if it stays where it is...lol

  5. My mom and dad were with you on that cruise and they said the same thing. They are getting close to pinnacle, so they have cruised a lot and seen it all.

They said the concierge was the best ever!

We were on Serenade in October and Mario the concierge is just fabulous...really glad they had a great crossing on a fabulous ship.

  6. Great review for your first one....I might try one when we get back from Serenade. As I was reading you review I was taken back to our cruise on Liberty she is a lovely ship but we didnt get to try everything on her because it is such a port heavy cruise.

Cant wait for October....we snagged a GS corner aft balcony (1st one!!)...it should be nice for the sail into Venice !

thanks again for the review Sue

  8. Sandra - That is perfect - Thank you for that info. I don't think we could ask for better than that.

I think we are the only ship in port that day or maybe one other if I remember correctly from my research. But that just sounds super!

You are welcome.....have a great cruise.

We will be doing all this again in October ourselves for Serenade...cant wait !

  9. Hi we had RCCL transfers when sailing on Liberty from Barcelona. We collected our luggage from the carousel and were met by RC reps and luggage was taken by porters to a van. We were then taken to the coach just outside the terminal and taken to another part of the airport to check in for the ship and get our sea passes etc.......there were a few big ships in port so they thought this would help speed things up.....which it did !!..we went then to the port cruise terminal and through security and straight onboard.

Great service and well looked after.

    hope this helps

  10. Thank you so much for your fabulous review. We are in cabin 1600 on Serenade this Oct so it is great to see the sister cabin on Brilliance. I loved the aft pics as well !

I have been considering this itinery and was doubtful about the long flights from Belfast UK........but your review has made. me put this cruise back on my list !

thanks again for your brilliant review

  11. Sorry did not see the ship's tours. However, I would assume that the boat used would be similar to the shuttles and busses ... Think ferry more than small boat.

Thanks.....it says that the boat lies low in the water and you have to be able to get in and out unaided....surely it cant be that bad otherwise no one over 45 would be able to jump in and out...lol

    Thanks again

  13. I can't wait to see how 1600 is going to work for us !

I am not worried that we will have very little at night when all the beds are being used !!

There are 2 teenage boys my sister and my husband !!! We plan to keep the main beds separate and OH and I will use the sofa bed, and the youngest will be sleeping on the rollaway !!!!!.....we are all used to this ' all in one room ' arrangement so that won't be a problem !!

I am hoping the aft balcony for us grown-ups will be big enough !!!

  14. I'd show you my aft, but I have to wait til next year for Serenade 1600....so looking forward to my first aft. Perhaps I should lose a few pounds first though :o...

btw, love this thread, been on CC for years and this is the first I've seen this one!

Oh ...look after 1600 for us ...we are in her next Oct.....our 1st aft as well !......will you deffo post some pics when you come back ...can't wait to go !!!
