  1. I need to call Celebrity to confirm, but figured I could possibly get a quick answer here.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I need to change one guest in our room and cancel another.

So I am remain, I add one new guest and cancel the other.

It is 31 days before our cruise.  I am on the reservation and remain.  Does anyone know if this is

    possible?

Thank you for your insight (phone calls are hard at work)

  2. May I piggy back on this question and ask the same thing, however we don't get into Belfast until 1:00 PM and leave at 11:00 PM? (I so which we had 10-10 as the original poster!!)

What would you do regarding Giant's Causeway and a bit of a tour with Belfast?  (We have a private excursion booked and we are thinking that we can ask for a bit of a tour around Belfast before being dropped back off at the port...)

They are a reputable company but that is a VERY long day, with a good 8 hours of drive time.   If you only have one day in port and are ok with that much time in a bus, then  go for it.  If you have  more time, or prefer less drive time, do a south coast tour that does not include Jokulsarlon.  It is 2+ hours beyond the rest of the south coast sites.  There is also no guarantee there will be any ice in the lagoon or on the beach, just to forewarn you.  It comes and goes with the winds and tides.

Yes, I am worried about that! We were also thinking that this very long tour *might* give us the very best chance to see Northern lights if that is at all possible on the 19th.  We have a 1/2 day after that in Reykajavic. Then 1 day in Aureyki.  Can you suggest a shorter South Coast tour?  Or do you have any recommendations?  I would be grateful.

  4. It was suggested that I cross post this question here:

I could use some advice.  We are on the 8/11-8/25 Silhouette Ireland/Iceland Cruise.  We are trying to find flights (boy are they expensive!) and we found an affordable one that leaves on 8/25 at 1:00 PM from LHR.  Has anyone had good luck with being the first off the ship at 6 AM (carrying our luggage), going through customs, having a car waiting and gotten to LHR in time?  We are from USA so need to be in LHR by 11:00 AM.

I would love to hear opinions on this.  Thanks to all my fellow cruisers.  This forum is invaluable!

  6. Is there an outdoor movie screen on Sihouette?  What are the movie options (other than what you watch in your room).

    Thank you!

PS LOVED the outdoor movie screen on the Summit.  It was fantastic to watch at night under the stars!!!

  7. Interesting! I am on the June 27 Summit and just received a move up email.

  8. Wonlife4,

My husband, 15 YO son, and myself are looking into doing this as well. In case we don't get an answer from those that did this last year, would you like to look into getting together to either figure out local transportation or share transportation costs?

I have done a lot of research and I think this is the best bet for both fireworks, Boston Pops, and food doesn't sound bad either....

    Thanks,

    Stephanie

  9. For anyone that was on the Independence Day Cruise last year, can you tell me if the Boston Pops was telecast on the ship? I have heard that the fireworks are not visible from the ship. Did anyone do anything that they thought was great for July 4th last year.

    Thanks

    Stephanie

  10. I am a planner too [emoji4]

You are making this too difficult for yourself [emoji4] Just book online the dinner reservations under one reservation code (cabin) for the total amount of people you wish and you are all set [emoji4] No prepayment required on any of the restaurant you mention and as you go to the restaurant explain which people belong to which cabin [emoji4]

People do this all the time and it is the right way to do it so bo worries.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

I believe that there is prepayment required for the upcharge for Ocean Bleu and for the full payment for Cirque for 2...if you make reservations in advance. That is what the online booking said and that is what the CS reps did over the phone.... now I have a mess of charges and reservations that aren't correct to clean up....

We have the Specialty Dining Package (SDP)(that is what is messing everything up)

  11. The issue is paying full price for Cirque for 2 ahead of time (when you have the SDP).... Also, I now have a mess of charges and reservations that I have to clear up. I had asked the supervisor if we couldn't just credit all the charges and start over. (After a frustrating conversation with her, I will be trying the supervisor's supervisor on Mon) Unfortunately, we are very close to the cruise so there aren't many advance reservations left. I may be taking my chances with no reservations in advance on a big ship on a busy sailing. A planner's nightmare.... Thanks for the advise.

  12. I am not a complainer by nature. I am a planner when I cruise. I have never had more difficulties cruising, then trying to book 2 reservations with the SDP in 2 CABINS. As you can't do this on line, I called and spoke with three different customer service reps, a supervisor and now I am having to call the supervisor's supervisor on Mon. I have received 23 emails from them since Thurs. (I am not sure why so many emails, duplicate and triplicate)

All I have tried to do is to book 3 dining reservations using SDP (2 cabins/ 4 people): Ocean Bleu (up charge X4) Le Bistro and Cagney's. Then 2 for Cirque paying for it.

I have never been more frustrated in my life. As each reservation is changed (back and forth between rooms), reservations have been lost, times have been changed. Charges are wrong or unexplained. (I have heard a lot of "why did they do that?") I feel like I am speaking another language. Part of the problem is that you can't make a reservation for 4 with 2 cabins and the SDP in advance.

Honestly, I have very little faith left in dealing with the customer services reps that you get on the phone. I am hoping that the supervisor of the supervisor can just get this resolved.

I am writing this post in the hopes that NCL might see it (and yes, I am emailing them) and I am also writing this to see if anyone else has had this issue with dining reservations in advance with the SDP and 2 cabins. (To add additional issues, we booked this cruise last minute and we are 2 weeks from sailing)

Please wish me luck. I don't want anything for free. I don't want an upgrade, I just want the correct reservations made before I board. .......I think that I may be returning to RCCL and Celebrity. I haven't sailed NCL in 3 years. Boy have things changed!!

  13. Thank you so much for this incredible review! We leave on July 31, so we are reading every single word....

Quick question, how difficult is the walk to town for Tallinn? We are doing Ho Ho bus for Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Helsinki. We are just wondering if we need to buy that shuttle ticket (seems so unfair that they charge shuttle tickets... jmho)

Thanks so much for your help and advice!

  14. I will be on the Evlipse on July 31. When in was on RCC and NCL they had an ap you could download for reservations, and most importantly it supported free texting (really terrific if you have teenagers you need to stay in touch with) Does anyone know if Celebrity has

    something similar?

    Thanks!

    Stephanie

  15. Hi TravelAnni and GradUT,

So sorry to be so confusing!!! Here is what I was thinking,

We are in Warnemunde on Wed Aug 3rd 9:30 AM to Midnight and are renting a car.

Here is what our thinking is after studying all of the info you have posted here:

    Warnemunde port

Drive to Rostock and see the Stasi Museum (any other spots we should check out?)

Drive to a mid way point (between Rostock and destination Sauchaushausen Memorial and Museum)

Ludsigslust? (The history is great, but is there a museum to explore?)

    Or Schwerin Castle?

    Or another city?

Then to Sauchasushausen Memorial and Museum (visit for 2 hours)

    Drive back to Warnemunde Port

If time, dinner at Warnemunde or walk around town before getting back on boat.

Hope that makes more sense, and if you can make comments just one more time, I would be grateful. We are not going to Berlin (We spent a lot of time there last summer and loved it!)

    Stephanie
