Thanks! I'll look into Uber, however I have heard that Uber wasn't very reliable in Manhattan & the price can fluctuate depending on what else is going on at the time. Carole
We just took Uber from Newark to NYC during the Christmas Holidays. It was $65 for an Uber Black - Black Escalade. It took less than 10 minutes for us to be picked up. When you request the Uber, it tells you to go outside in Departures and where to stand. It was very easy. (Just dont request the Uber, until you have all luggage and are ready.)
On the way back, it was also very fast. BMW X5 Suv for $60.
There are TONS of Uber drivers in NYC!! If you are new to Uber, you can go to https://www.uber.com/invite/keriannel3 That should give you $20 off your first ride.

Hey fellow Disney cruisers! It's been a few years since my last cruise and I'm wondering if pin trading with the ship's officers is still a popular activity. Thanks guys!
Yes, they did this on the Dream when we sailed in January. Our 10 year old has many pins already but our 2 year old only had 1. The officers traded pins with the kids but they also gave the 2 year old a couple at no charge. The kids enjoyed it and one of the officers was from our hometown.

I also just went on the Dream. The shows are the same.

This is disgusting. If it was any one of you, you would be equally upset. Vacations are time to relax not deal with this. His wife DOES deserve to be treated like a diva on vacation. It was probably not that they didn't offer more, maybe because they weren't more sympathetic to the situation.

We cruised on the Epic 11/30/14. We stayed at the Miami Airport Marriott. They had a Park N Fly Deal so it was like $119 and we stayed the night and could leave the car for the week at no charge. We did have to pay charge PP to take a shuttle to the port but I think it was like $7 pp. Not much.
When we returned.... the front of our car was missing, including parts of my engine!! This property is fully gated with a guard, cameras everywhere... We then waited 2 hours for the police. It was horrible.
I wish I did research before hand because I then went on trip advisor and saw two other cars recently had trouble here. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!!

You may wish to consider which lot you leave your car in while you are cruising...... ;) http://www.wftv.com/news/news/parking-lot-owner-caught-using-customers-car/nNM6q/

This boat looks nothing like what we were on. Not sure how long ago you went on this excursion.

Thought of another question. I saw some pictures and it didn't look like there was any shade at all. Is that correct?
No shade. We had on a ton of sunscreen and still got burnt.

There was a lot of people but it was not overcrowded

Yes they will take you to shore if you dont want to/cant swim. They also put towels and personal items you want to take in the boat.

On the way back from Chili's, we decided to check out the La Concha as another option for staying in San Juan. It was much flashier than the Stellaris. It seemed like a much more "adult" resort (not to mention an architect student's heaven!!!) - we were impressed
We stayed at La Concha for 1 night pre cruise. We considered stayed at the Stellaris but finally choose La Concha. We arrive around noon and our room was ready and had really good service. The hotel was crazy packed I think partly because it was labor day weekend.
Have a great time on the Monarch. Thats my husbands favorite ship because it was our first cruise together :)

Curious, where did your get on the excursion? Just wondering if you had to taxi to Red Hook or leave from Havensight.
We met our group on the pier right outside of our ship. We then walked as a big group around a fence towards "Bones." It was a kinda far walk for early morning. When we came back there was a trolly waiting and he took us all back.

We did this trip to Christmas & Honeymoon Coves in September. It was a wonderful day :) They have a bathroom on the boat and also in Honeymoon Cove when you have a picnic lunch.
The crew was excellent and very interactive. They gave us all tattoos and plenty of "Pain Killers." For the price of $99 for 6 hours I felt it was definitely worth the money. It was a great day.

Great pictures and great review! We just went on a Southern Cruise but the opposite places... These islands are still on my list :)
Cant wait for the rest of your review!!

I have been on both and liked Coco Cay a lot better. If you have any specific questions I would be happy to answer for you. In Coco Cay they actually let us hold Star Fish, crabs, etc. A bit more interactive.

We are staying in this cabin for our honeymoon in early September. Definitely will take pictures for you since you will be traveling later in the year.
We originally had an E3 cabin on Deck 7 but the price has dropped over $350 so I changed to this aft cabin. We will very close to Port Canaveral and on weekends go to dinner and watch the ships pull out on Sundays.. My fiance always says how we would love an aft cabin so this is a surprise for him.
First time cruiser--Norwegian Getaway review 2/5/17 thru 2/12/17

We just booked the getaway tonight for an April sailing. After reading this I am very excited 😬
Two years ago, we sailed on the Epic and loved it. Hoping we love the Getaway just as much.
Is HC a private island? The pool and beach looked nice. Is it available to all or through an excursion?
